What To Expect

Emerald Bay State Park

The Ultimate Half Day Tour departs at 7:00 am, and focuses on the best of Tahoe’s South and West Shore areas. Our journey begins at a beautiful secluded Tahoe beach, shadowed by spectacular Mt.Tallac. Across the river is an Eagle sanctuary, and you will be able to view and photograph different species of local birds, and possibly even a bear. As the mountains and lakes beckon, our adventures continues to back country lakes and spectacular waterfalls. Above the falls, another high country lake awaits our arrival. Climbing 2,000 feet above Tahoe to a high country ridgeline, gives you amazing views. Continuing to one of the most photographed locations in North America, Emerald Bay. Tahoe Photo Tours will take you to special locations to avoid the crowds.

Sugar Pine State Park

Sugar Pine Point State Park contains one of the finest remaining natural areas on Lake Tahoe. With nearly two miles of lake frontage, the park has dense forests of pine, fir, aspen and juniper. Constructed in 1903, the property is one of the finest examples of a by-gone era of summer retreats found along the shores of Lake Tahoe. With crystal clear waters and up to 24 inch pine cones this is a must see location.

Whether you've been to Lake Tahoe or not, put this tour on your list of "must do's". Every aspect of the day was outstanding. Mike was our tour guide and photographer. He took us to places that we'd never seen or been able to find. In short, he was terrific and helped to make our tour fun and informative. The only bad part of the tour was that it was over too fast.

If you have never been to Lake Tahoe, this is a must do activity for you. Our photographer/tour guide was Mike. He was very nice and not only took some great photos of my wife and I but also provided plenty of knowledge and facts about the area and sites we were viewiing. The tour was very laid back and hit some of the best views in the area. The pictures turned out great and we are very happy with the tour. Highly recommended!

Great Tour! This is the 1st Tour I have ever seen where the guide takes you to beautiful spots for you to see and take photographs. Our Tour Guide was Mike and he was so knowledgeable of the area and the forests and lakes. He took us to places that we would not have been able to see (or find) in the short time we were at Lake Tahoe. Mike also took pictures of the scenery as well as photographs of us. We rarely have pictures of us, so this was very much appreciated. Tahoe Photographic Tours then emailed us the pictures. They were exceptional pictures! Thank you Mike for spending a day with us!
