What To Expect

Emerald Bay State Park

The Ultimate Half Day Tour departs at 7:00 am, and focuses on the best of Tahoe’s South and West Shore areas. Our journey begins at a beautiful secluded Tahoe beach, shadowed by spectacular Mt.Tallac. Across the river is an Eagle sanctuary, and you will be able to view and photograph different species of local birds, and possibly even a bear. As the mountains and lakes beckon, our adventures continues to back country lakes and spectacular waterfalls. Above the falls, another high country lake awaits our arrival. Climbing 2,000 feet above Tahoe to a high country ridgeline, gives you amazing views. Continuing to one of the most photographed locations in North America, Emerald Bay. Tahoe Photo Tours will take you to special locations to avoid the crowds.

Sugar Pine State Park

Sugar Pine Point State Park contains one of the finest remaining natural areas on Lake Tahoe. With nearly two miles of lake frontage, the park has dense forests of pine, fir, aspen and juniper. Constructed in 1903, the property is one of the finest examples of a by-gone era of summer retreats found along the shores of Lake Tahoe. With crystal clear waters and up to 24 inch pine cones this is a must see location.

My family of five loved the individual attention of seeing Lake Tahoe with a local guide. Victor knew some beautiful spots that the crowds have not found. He did a great job showing us around the area and telling us information about Lake Tahoe. He also gave me some great advice on taking photos. The bonus was getting all the pictures that he took of us during the tour. We did the half day tour with our four year old grandson and it was the perfect amount of time.

Our guide Mike was very knowledgeable and courteous and we had a great time viewing some breathtaking and hard to reach areas of Lake Tahoe that we would never have known existed had we not taken this tour. Highly recommended.

This was a full day tour around Lake Tahoe. Our guide, Griffin, was enthusiastic and knew where to go which is a must on these tours. He drove us to all the sites and quickly got us in position for some fun and great shots. Plus we saw parts of the Lake we would have never seen. He also pointed out spots to return to on our own. As a nice plus you get a link with the photos your tour guide took which is a nice complement to the shots you took. Well worth the cost and time.
