Emerald Bay State Park
The Ultimate Half Day Tour departs at 7:00 am, and focuses on the best of Tahoe’s South and West Shore areas. Our journey begins at a beautiful secluded Tahoe beach, shadowed by spectacular Mt.Tallac. Across the river is an Eagle sanctuary, and you will be able to view and photograph different species of local birds, and possibly even a bear. As the mountains and lakes beckon, our adventures continues to back country lakes and spectacular waterfalls. Above the falls, another high country lake awaits our arrival. Climbing 2,000 feet above Tahoe to a high country ridgeline, gives you amazing views. Continuing to one of the most photographed locations in North America, Emerald Bay. Tahoe Photo Tours will take you to special locations to avoid the crowds.

Sugar Pine State Park
Sugar Pine Point State Park contains one of the finest remaining natural areas on Lake Tahoe. With nearly two miles of lake frontage, the park has dense forests of pine, fir, aspen and juniper. Constructed in 1903, the property is one of the finest examples of a by-gone era of summer retreats found along the shores of Lake Tahoe. With crystal clear waters and up to 24 inch pine cones this is a must see location.

We were picked up at our hotel by our guide, Victor. In the 7 hours we were together, he took us to many locations for beautiful views of Lake Tahoe. Several of these locations we never would have found on our own. Victor was also very knowledgeable of the area, and shared the history of the area with us. This was a great tour that you don't want to miss. The best part was receiving all the pictures in an email that Victor took of us that day.

There's so much beauty in South Lake Tahoe but to really get a chance to see and photograph these sights in a day, this photography tour can't be beat. Our guide Mike really knew his way around a camera and the terrain. The sights we visited gave us ample opportunity for shutter time with our cameras. Mike's camera was busy taking in the views as well as taking our photos with the extraordinary views as the background. I received a file of "my" photos about a week after the tour and was very happy with the results. All in all, an enjoyable way to experience the beauty of South Lake Tahoe.

The tour guide, Griffin, was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the Tahoe area and told us interesting stories along the way. We were able to tailor the tour based on everyone's preferences. This was the first day in Tahoe for one couple and the others had explored for a couple of days, so he made sure to take us to some unique places. It also rained for a big portion of the tour, but we made the best of the situation and had fun. Luckily, all of us had come well-prepared for the weather. The guide was also very knowledgeable about cameras and photography and gave us plenty of good tips and advice along the way. I didn't realize when I booked the tour that we would get the photos that Griffin took along the way too, so that made the whole experience an awesome value.
