What To Expect

Emerald Bay State Park

The Ultimate Half Day Tour departs at 7:00 am, and focuses on the best of Tahoe’s South and West Shore areas. Our journey begins at a beautiful secluded Tahoe beach, shadowed by spectacular Mt.Tallac. Across the river is an Eagle sanctuary, and you will be able to view and photograph different species of local birds, and possibly even a bear. As the mountains and lakes beckon, our adventures continues to back country lakes and spectacular waterfalls. Above the falls, another high country lake awaits our arrival. Climbing 2,000 feet above Tahoe to a high country ridgeline, gives you amazing views. Continuing to one of the most photographed locations in North America, Emerald Bay. Tahoe Photo Tours will take you to special locations to avoid the crowds.

Sugar Pine State Park

Sugar Pine Point State Park contains one of the finest remaining natural areas on Lake Tahoe. With nearly two miles of lake frontage, the park has dense forests of pine, fir, aspen and juniper. Constructed in 1903, the property is one of the finest examples of a by-gone era of summer retreats found along the shores of Lake Tahoe. With crystal clear waters and up to 24 inch pine cones this is a must see location.

We were in Tahoe in July 2013 for a family reunion. Some of our group did the half day tour with Mike. It was fantastic! Mike shared his love of photography, the outdoors and Lake Tahoe with us for several hours. We went places we never would have found on our own and got some great photos of the beautiful Lake Tahoe area. We highly recommend it, even if you are not a photography buff. It's worth it for the local knowledge that is shared. Mike also takes great photos in case yours don't turn out so well. Mike has some mean driving skills on those one lane back roads!

I took a half day tour with Tahoe Photographic tours in June 2013. It was completely fantastic! I was in town to see a concert and only had one morning available to see the sites. Keith and Robin took me to see some amazing places! They were very knowledgable about the area and were happy to help me take my own photos, in addition to those included with the tour. The professional shots Keith took were absolutely beautiful! It's also worth noting that I was traveling alone and they made me feel 100% comfortable. I'll definitely book with them again the next time I'm in the area!

My wife and I had the opportunity to take a short trip to South Lake Tahoe. We were looking for activities to do and the concierge at our Hotel recommended this excursion with Tahoe Photographic Tours. My wife is a professional photographer and this was something that was right up her alley. The next morning we met Greg, our guide and photographer and he was fantastic. Easy going, knows the best spots in the area, but also knew he was with another pro photographer and the two work together fantastically. My wife got some awesome shots and I can't wait to see the ones that Greg took of us. It is "very" rare for my wife and I to have photos of us together as she is always behind the camera, so these pictures will be very, very special. Thank you so much Greg for your great work and I "highly" recommend this tour to anyone wanting special moments captured in this beautiful area.
