Emerald Bay State Park
The Ultimate Half Day Tour departs at 7:00 am, and focuses on the best of Tahoeā€™s South and West Shore areas. Our journey begins at a beautiful secluded Tahoe beach, shadowed by spectacular Mt.Tallac. Across the river is an Eagle sanctuary, and you will be able to view and photograph different species of local birds, and possibly even a bear. As the mountains and lakes beckon, our adventures continues to back country lakes and spectacular waterfalls. Above the falls, another high country lake awaits our arrival. Climbing 2,000 feet above Tahoe to a high country ridgeline, gives you amazing views. Continuing to one of the most photographed locations in North America, Emerald Bay. Tahoe Photo Tours will take you to special locations to avoid the crowds.

Sugar Pine State Park
Sugar Pine Point State Park contains one of the finest remaining natural areas on Lake Tahoe. With nearly two miles of lake frontage, the park has dense forests of pine, fir, aspen and juniper. Constructed in 1903, the property is one of the finest examples of a by-gone era of summer retreats found along the shores of Lake Tahoe. With crystal clear waters and up to 24 inch pine cones this is a must see location.

My wife and I have been on tours with Tahoe Photographic 3 or 4 times. Each time our guides have made the effort to take us to places we haven't seen before. It's always an enjoyable and interesting experience. Keith has shown us tips on photographing the scenery and sent us great shots of our tour, including of ourselves. On our most recent tour our guide Greg took us on a short hike to a fabulous viewpoint we didn't know about. After the tour, he looked through our trail books with us, pointing out hikes he thought we'd enjoy. We've never been disappointed.

We weren't quite sure what to expect, but are so glad we went. We wound up having a private tour, and our guide, Sam, was very friendly and familiar with the area. He also gave some photography tips to my husband, who's gotten into photography as a hobby. He was familiar with our camera and various lenses. It was very windy the day we went, which was kind of a bummer. There was quite a bit of walking and climbing in the snow involved, so we probably should have worn better shoes. Sam took tons of photos of us, and we got the digital files the next day. Everything turned out great in spite of the weather. For the price of the half day tour, you basically get a four hour tour, portrait session, and digital copies of all the pictures taken...not to mention any of your own photos that you take! It really is a great deal and a way to always remember your Tahoe trip. Highly recommend it!
