What To Expect

Emerald Bay State Park

The Ultimate Half Day Tour departs at 7:00 am, and focuses on the best of Tahoe’s South and West Shore areas. Our journey begins at a beautiful secluded Tahoe beach, shadowed by spectacular Mt.Tallac. Across the river is an Eagle sanctuary, and you will be able to view and photograph different species of local birds, and possibly even a bear. As the mountains and lakes beckon, our adventures continues to back country lakes and spectacular waterfalls. Above the falls, another high country lake awaits our arrival. Climbing 2,000 feet above Tahoe to a high country ridgeline, gives you amazing views. Continuing to one of the most photographed locations in North America, Emerald Bay. Tahoe Photo Tours will take you to special locations to avoid the crowds.

Sugar Pine State Park

Sugar Pine Point State Park contains one of the finest remaining natural areas on Lake Tahoe. With nearly two miles of lake frontage, the park has dense forests of pine, fir, aspen and juniper. Constructed in 1903, the property is one of the finest examples of a by-gone era of summer retreats found along the shores of Lake Tahoe. With crystal clear waters and up to 24 inch pine cones this is a must see location.

This tour was by far the highlight of my first trip to Lake Tahoe! I highly recommend taking this tour anytime you visit Lake Tahoe. From the beginning when we called and spoke to Robin about the tour, she was not only a joy to talk too, she was very helpful and informative and even provided us with other fun places to visit in the area. The day of our tour was a beautiful day and our guide was Mike. He was great and he really knows a lot about the area. He took us to the most amazing places where the views were awesome...they were breathtaking! He took lots of beautiful pictures of the different places we visited. He is the best tour guide! When our tour ended it felt like I was saying goodbye to a friend! By the time we returned home to Florida our pictures were sent via email...Thanks to Keith! The pictures are absolutely beautiful and I will treasure them. This was such a wonderful experience...one I will remember with very fond memories!! Thank you so much Robin, Keith and Mike for making my first trip to Lake Tahoe an awesome experience!!

My mom & I went on a tour with Mike (who happens to be retired from the Tahoe forestry, best guide ever!!!). It was the most beautiful day & Mike knew all the best spots. He was extremely knowledgeable about the area. Very friendly, even stopped by a local eatery for us to grab lunch. At the end of the tour Mike was nice enough to get a few pics with my husband & son as well. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I highly recommend going on a tour!!!

Last minute tour, and was far beyond my expectations. Keith was fantastic! As a family we come to Lake Tahoe several times a year and he took me to places I have never seen before. I take pictures as a hobby, Keith made sure I got the shots I wanted and was helpful with what settings my camera should be on. I am planning a trip in October to take another Tahoe Photographic Tour.
