Emerald Bay State Park
The Ultimate Half Day Tour departs at 7:00 am, and focuses on the best of Tahoeā€™s South and West Shore areas. Our journey begins at a beautiful secluded Tahoe beach, shadowed by spectacular Mt.Tallac. Across the river is an Eagle sanctuary, and you will be able to view and photograph different species of local birds, and possibly even a bear. As the mountains and lakes beckon, our adventures continues to back country lakes and spectacular waterfalls. Above the falls, another high country lake awaits our arrival. Climbing 2,000 feet above Tahoe to a high country ridgeline, gives you amazing views. Continuing to one of the most photographed locations in North America, Emerald Bay. Tahoe Photo Tours will take you to special locations to avoid the crowds.

Sugar Pine State Park
Sugar Pine Point State Park contains one of the finest remaining natural areas on Lake Tahoe. With nearly two miles of lake frontage, the park has dense forests of pine, fir, aspen and juniper. Constructed in 1903, the property is one of the finest examples of a by-gone era of summer retreats found along the shores of Lake Tahoe. With crystal clear waters and up to 24 inch pine cones this is a must see location.

My snowshoe tour was my second time with Tahoe Photographic Tours. The first was in summer. Both times I got to see scenic spots around Tahoe that are unknown to most tourists, including a couple of waterfalls. I got some beautiful pictures. Unfortunately, there wasn't much snow on the ground, so our snowshoeing was limited to accessing one small area by a waterfall. Our guide Greg filled us in on local facts and natural points that we wouldn't have known or noticed. For example, he pointed out bear claw scratches on a tree trunk. On the down side, Greg was half an hour late picking me up, but the office called to let me know. Still, it was a great experience and I can highly recommend Tahoe Photographic Tours.

Hello Tahoe Photographic Tours guest, thank you very much for your return visit with us. It is always great to have return guests as it gives us yet another opportunity to share new locations in beautiful Lake Tahoe. Thank you for the positive feedback on your guide Greg. He is an outstanding guide and is very passionate about what he does. We look forward to your next visit. The fall is an outstanding time of year to visit Lake Tahoe as the fall colors are exploding and the wildlife is abundant. Thank you again for your review and remember, you always have friends in Lake Tahoe if there is anything we can do for you. Sincerely, Keith P

My wife and I met with their senior tour guide, Greg, who showed up at the Hotel early. The SUV was clean, roomy and comfortable. We didn't get a chance to have breakfast at the hotel first so he courteously made a quick stop for us to grab a coffee and quick bite. Greg was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and considerate throughout the trip. We booked the half day trip and so didn't get all the way around the lake (we'll need to make a return visit for that) but were shown some extremely beautiful and picturesque scenes, especially a lovely lake/mountain scene off of the beaten path, that required unique access; so we would not have known or made it there on our own. It was extremely relaxing and we could've stayed in that one spot for hours. We received our CD with our pictures and they turned out beautifully, although you could tell they were enhanced slightly to emphasize the blue in the sky and the lake. However, it was extremely nice having someone there to take pictures of my wife and I together; normally it's either she or I in the pictures but not the both of us. Greg found some really nice spots and unique shots for us. Fortunately, we had dressed appropriately for the snow and so didn't get too cold or wet; it was fun tromping around in the snow. My wife and I normally like to explore on our own but only had a couple of days to enjoy our first trip to Tahoe. If you're limited on time, I highly recommend this type of tour and, more specifically, Tahoe Photographic Tours.

This was the best tour I've ever taken. The tour exceeded my expectations because it was so personalized. We were able to see things that the average person does not have the opportunity to see. Our guide, Greg, provided us with interesting facts about the area and took amazing pictures that we will cherish forever. The customer service was superb. Thanks to Robyn for arranging everything. You guys do a fantastic job and I will be recommending this to anyone who visits Tahoe.
