The Ultimate Half Day Tour departs at 7:00 am, and focuses on the best of Tahoeā€™s South and West Shore areas. Our journey begins at a beautiful secluded Tahoe beach, shadowed by spectacular Mt.Tallac. Across the river is an Eagle sanctuary, and you will be able to view and photograph different species of local birds, and possibly even a bear. As the mountains and lakes beckon, our adventures continues to back country lakes and spectacular waterfalls. Above the falls, another high country lake awaits our arrival. Climbing 2,000 feet above Tahoe to a high country ridgeline, gives you amazing views. Continuing to one of the most photographed locations in North America, Emerald Bay. Tahoe Photo Tours will take you to special locations to avoid the crowds.

Sugar Pine State Park
Sugar Pine Point State Park contains one of the finest remaining natural areas on Lake Tahoe. With nearly two miles of lake frontage, the park has dense forests of pine, fir, aspen and juniper. Constructed in 1903, the property is one of the finest examples of a by-gone era of summer retreats found along the shores of Lake Tahoe. With crystal clear waters and up to 24 inch pine cones this is a must see location.

This was our 4th time with TPT, with this trip guided by Keith, the owner. As always, we (my husband, daughter, and son) enjoyed the comfortable, scenic tour of the beautiful locations around the lake. Keith's vast knowledge of the lake and photography made our experience invaluable. Remember to wear appropriate footwear, as there are some short distance walking. No worries though, my husband has a bad knee, I have a bad ankle, but Keith made sure we were safe at all times. And talk about awesome pictures.... simply spectacular !! Looking forward to our next tour in the snow !!

Thoroughly enjoyed this tour! Mike, our guide, was fantastic. Very personable and so knowledgeable of the area, having worked for the forest service for over 30 yrs. There were 5 of us on the tour, which was a nice, small group. Mike took us to so many beautiful locations around South Lake Tahoe. We all took our own photos, and he did as well--of the scenery, as well as posed and candid photos of each of us. Our "1/2 day" tour was relaxed and so enjoyable--we were out from 9am to 3pm! Plus, I don't remember even seeing it on the website, but after returning home, they sent me a CD with the photos from day. Everything was top-notch!

My mom, sister, brother and myself looked on trip advisor and decided that we would check out this tour. We were hesitant initially because of the price, but after reading reviews; we decided to check it out anyways! It was just the 4 of us in a nice SUV with our tour guide, Robin. Robin is a "HOOT!" She is very funny, blunt, informative, intelligent and did I mention hilarious?? She talked to us the whole time about historic events that had happened in Lake Tahoe, it wasn't boring like a any old tour guide, she was totally real with us; it was like she was just our friend. In fact, half way through the day, she started calling us by shortened names like "Ty" instead of Tyler. We were all very comfortable. As far as what we saw; serene beauty! We went to places that gave us great aerial views of mountains and the lake. We also saw some awesome waterfalls, and my mom took one for the team when she slipped and landed right in the water.... We went to an old vintage church that's still used and just really enjoyed our day! We had our own cameras, and Robin also took pics. She gave us tips on where to shoot pics from as well. She took many pictures of us as a group, because I'm usually the annoying girl who asks strangers to take groups pics... and then get angry when they do a crappy job. It was nice to have a competent photographer right on hand! After the tour, we got a CD with all of the pictures and the rights to them! It was a great experience and I'd love to go back in the fall and spring and do the tour again! It was fantastic and I miss Robin....
