What To Expect

Emerald Bay State Park

The Ultimate Half Day Tour departs at 7:00 am, and focuses on the best of Tahoe’s South and West Shore areas. Our journey begins at a beautiful secluded Tahoe beach, shadowed by spectacular Mt.Tallac. Across the river is an Eagle sanctuary, and you will be able to view and photograph different species of local birds, and possibly even a bear. As the mountains and lakes beckon, our adventures continues to back country lakes and spectacular waterfalls. Above the falls, another high country lake awaits our arrival. Climbing 2,000 feet above Tahoe to a high country ridgeline, gives you amazing views. Continuing to one of the most photographed locations in North America, Emerald Bay. Tahoe Photo Tours will take you to special locations to avoid the crowds.

Sugar Pine State Park

Sugar Pine Point State Park contains one of the finest remaining natural areas on Lake Tahoe. With nearly two miles of lake frontage, the park has dense forests of pine, fir, aspen and juniper. Constructed in 1903, the property is one of the finest examples of a by-gone era of summer retreats found along the shores of Lake Tahoe. With crystal clear waters and up to 24 inch pine cones this is a must see location.

Our guide, Mike, was very knowledgable regarding the area and we enjoyed several different viewing places around Lake Tahoe. Definitely recommend to others and we will rebook on our next visit.

We booked a half day photographic tour over the phone, and feel that we got more than our moneys worth. Our guide Mike, was very knowledgable, having worked with the Ranger Service and he was able to take us to some secret spots that we would never have visited even if we had our own car. Having a 'local' show you around the area makes all the difference and we were able to take some pretty astounding photos of our own thanks to our guide, and the perfect Winter conditions, that we had on the day. We came to Tahoe to ski mainly so this tour became an unexpected highlight for us and we will recommend it to friends and family when we return home to Australia. Debbie and Trevor King

The tour is great! You're picked up at your hotel and driven in a premier SUV to beautiful sights of Lake Tahoe and the surrounding areas. The guides are very knowledgeable and polite. Keith and his staff are very friendly and helpful. Got to take some beautiful pictures, and his staff will also shoot pictures of you and your friends/family, which will later be sent to you on a cd. Had a great time!
