What To Expect

Emerald Bay State Park

The Ultimate Half Day Tour departs at 7:00 am, and focuses on the best of Tahoe’s South and West Shore areas. Our journey begins at a beautiful secluded Tahoe beach, shadowed by spectacular Mt.Tallac. Across the river is an Eagle sanctuary, and you will be able to view and photograph different species of local birds, and possibly even a bear. As the mountains and lakes beckon, our adventures continues to back country lakes and spectacular waterfalls. Above the falls, another high country lake awaits our arrival. Climbing 2,000 feet above Tahoe to a high country ridgeline, gives you amazing views. Continuing to one of the most photographed locations in North America, Emerald Bay. Tahoe Photo Tours will take you to special locations to avoid the crowds.

Sugar Pine State Park

Sugar Pine Point State Park contains one of the finest remaining natural areas on Lake Tahoe. With nearly two miles of lake frontage, the park has dense forests of pine, fir, aspen and juniper. Constructed in 1903, the property is one of the finest examples of a by-gone era of summer retreats found along the shores of Lake Tahoe. With crystal clear waters and up to 24 inch pine cones this is a must see location.

If you don't do anything else in Lake Tahoe, set up a tour with Tahoe Photographic Tours! You will be taken in a comfortable SUV to view the most spectacular sites in Tahoe with a fantastic professional photographer. The tour will be tailored to your needs and beautiful pictures will be taken by the photographer of the awesome scenery in Tahoe, including you in the pictures. Within 2 weeks of arriving back home, you will receive a DVD with all of the pictures taken on your tour. You will be taken to "off the beaten paths" where the scenery is unbelievable! Wear good walking shoes or comfortable boots, as some walking is required. Bring a camera if you like, but photographer will get all the pictures you need while you just sit back and enjoy the trip! Our tour was between 4-5 hours and we thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it! Photographer/guide was so nice and extremely knowledgeable of the area. You won't be disappointed if you take this tour! Want to get away from the casinos and slopes for a peaceful and relaxing few hours? If so, the photographic tour is the perfect fit. My wife and I took the tour at the suggestion of some friends in Tahoe and could have not been happier with the suggestion. The area is so amazing and our guide (Mike) was so knowledgeable due to his 35 years with the forestry service that the time just flew by. It was a true joy to get out and learn some of the areas history and be able to view the wonders of nature in this area of the world. Would certainly recommend this to others and will do this tour again when visiting the Tahoe area.

My day with Greg from Tahoe Photographic was fabulous! He gave us lots of information about the area, took us to some beautiful locations, took some great pictures of us, and also helped me with my camera! I highly recommend this tour. Greg was very flexible and accommodating. Great trip!
