What To Expect

Emerald Bay State Park

The Ultimate Half Day Tour departs at 7:00 am, and focuses on the best of Tahoe’s South and West Shore areas. Our journey begins at a beautiful secluded Tahoe beach, shadowed by spectacular Mt.Tallac. Across the river is an Eagle sanctuary, and you will be able to view and photograph different species of local birds, and possibly even a bear. As the mountains and lakes beckon, our adventures continues to back country lakes and spectacular waterfalls. Above the falls, another high country lake awaits our arrival. Climbing 2,000 feet above Tahoe to a high country ridgeline, gives you amazing views. Continuing to one of the most photographed locations in North America, Emerald Bay. Tahoe Photo Tours will take you to special locations to avoid the crowds.

Sugar Pine State Park

Sugar Pine Point State Park contains one of the finest remaining natural areas on Lake Tahoe. With nearly two miles of lake frontage, the park has dense forests of pine, fir, aspen and juniper. Constructed in 1903, the property is one of the finest examples of a by-gone era of summer retreats found along the shores of Lake Tahoe. With crystal clear waters and up to 24 inch pine cones this is a must see location.

Paul was a great tour guide! We got to see all the hot spots of Tahoe! It was beautiful! Would recommend to anyone!!!!

We took a half-day tour with Paul (guide). In addition to telling us the history of the region, Paul took us to "off the beaten track" areas where we were able to photograph the lake, waterfalls and fall colors undisturbed by other tourists. We wouldn't have found these spots on our own, yet they were some of the most spectacular scenery we have experienced. We're glad we took this tour and recommend it with absolutely no reservations. Well worth the cost - we have photographs and memories that are priceless!

The places we were taken to were nothing short of spectacular...the lakes, waterfalls, roads, and mountains. Although the photos taken cannot take in the entire location (no photo can do that!), they are beautiful! Most of the photos are wonderful. In a very few of them the people look a bit to posed. But without the tour and Greg, I would not never have found the locations we were taken to see and I would not have the wonderful photos to help me remember those places and share those places with others who may never visit there.
