What To Expect

Emerald Bay State Park

The Ultimate Half Day Tour departs at 7:00 am, and focuses on the best of Tahoe’s South and West Shore areas. Our journey begins at a beautiful secluded Tahoe beach, shadowed by spectacular Mt.Tallac. Across the river is an Eagle sanctuary, and you will be able to view and photograph different species of local birds, and possibly even a bear. As the mountains and lakes beckon, our adventures continues to back country lakes and spectacular waterfalls. Above the falls, another high country lake awaits our arrival. Climbing 2,000 feet above Tahoe to a high country ridgeline, gives you amazing views. Continuing to one of the most photographed locations in North America, Emerald Bay. Tahoe Photo Tours will take you to special locations to avoid the crowds.

Sugar Pine State Park

Sugar Pine Point State Park contains one of the finest remaining natural areas on Lake Tahoe. With nearly two miles of lake frontage, the park has dense forests of pine, fir, aspen and juniper. Constructed in 1903, the property is one of the finest examples of a by-gone era of summer retreats found along the shores of Lake Tahoe. With crystal clear waters and up to 24 inch pine cones this is a must see location.

We took a half day tour of the South Tahoe area. Greg was out tour guide and did an wonderful job of showing up sites we would not have seen otherwise. Further, he photographed us in unique locations that were very scenic. We would recommend this tour to anyone wanting an outstanding photographic tour of South Lake Tahoe.

My wife and I had a great time on this photo tour. There's absolutely no way we could have gotten to see what we did on our own. South Lake Tahoe is a beautiful place on its own, but Tahoe Photographic Tours made sure we had the best views and photo opportunities. Our guide, Robin, was extremely knowledgeable of the area and helpful in getting our photos. I am not a photogenic person (the tour was my wife's idea), but Robin made me feel comfortable for something that I am usually uncomfortable doing. We received our photos yesterday (within two weeks), and they look great. I would definitely recommend this trip to any one visiting this area and suggest that they do the full day tour.

My husband and I took the photograhic tour. There were 6 of us that they picked up for the tour and you do not have to be a photographer; they take pictures of the beautiful scenery and of you throughout the tour. This is great, especially for people that do not know the area. We would have never known where to look for these lakes, lookouts, and vistas. We were probably gone about 5 hours and enjoyed seeing the gorgeous views.
