Emerald Bay State Park
The Ultimate Half Day Tour departs at 7:00 am, and focuses on the best of Tahoeā€™s South and West Shore areas. Our journey begins at a beautiful secluded Tahoe beach, shadowed by spectacular Mt.Tallac. Across the river is an Eagle sanctuary, and you will be able to view and photograph different species of local birds, and possibly even a bear. As the mountains and lakes beckon, our adventures continues to back country lakes and spectacular waterfalls. Above the falls, another high country lake awaits our arrival. Climbing 2,000 feet above Tahoe to a high country ridgeline, gives you amazing views. Continuing to one of the most photographed locations in North America, Emerald Bay. Tahoe Photo Tours will take you to special locations to avoid the crowds.

Sugar Pine State Park
Sugar Pine Point State Park contains one of the finest remaining natural areas on Lake Tahoe. With nearly two miles of lake frontage, the park has dense forests of pine, fir, aspen and juniper. Constructed in 1903, the property is one of the finest examples of a by-gone era of summer retreats found along the shores of Lake Tahoe. With crystal clear waters and up to 24 inch pine cones this is a must see location.

What an amazing way to end our first trip to Lake Tahoe! My husband and I had explored the area on our own for 6 days and loved the views from the Heavenly Gondola, Blue Wave cruise, and drive around the lake. But, nothing compared to today's half-day tour of some of the most beautiful sites that were not readily obvious or available to the uninitiated tourist. Mike (our guide) was a knowledgeable, retired park ranger who shared a valuable perspective of the area. His relaxed, friendly personality contributed to the enjoyment of the day. As an amateur photographer, I greatly appreciated having a photographer taking OUR picture at these GORGEOUS sites, while I enjoyed the freedom to take pictures that captured my attention. Even with minor physical limitations we were able to get fabulous access to views and waterfalls that were not available while touring on our own. We were thrilled with the lunch site and were regularly offered water during the tour. Much appreciation to Keith (the owner) who did an exceptional job of sharing his passion of helping others experience the glory of Lake Tahoe! It is rare to experience such caring and helpful ways of operating. Our time visiting Lake Tahoe was greatly enhanced by your company! THANK YOU!!!!!

We chose to go with Tahoe Photographic Tours after finding them on the Visit Lake Tahoe website. They were also highly recommended by our hotel. Since we are on our honeymoon, we wanted to make sure we had some professional pictures taken. Keith's (Keith is the owner) company took us all around Tahoe to the best places that only a local would know. Sure, we went near the "traditional" tourist areas, but they took us off the beaten path to see some of the best sites there are. The SUV that came to pick us up was in perfect condition, and our tour guide/driver Mike was very friendly and courteous. He also was very, very knowledgeable about the area since he has been a long time local, and is also a retired forest ranger. We had such an incredible time. What really sets this company apart from the rest is that 2 days after our initial tour, Keith invited us (free of charge) to go with him to another location that was not originally on our tour plan. This location was even more spectacular then the others! To us, Keith went well above and beyond our expectations. The price per person is well worth the time and attention that you receive. Plus every picture that your guide takes (and they take a lot) is given to you on a CD/DVD. We even learned some tricks and tips to help make our pictures on our own camera turn out better. We highly suggest that if you are serious about taking this tour, it be one of the first things you do when your arrive in Tahoe. This will allow for you to come back to the spots they show you on other days.

My wife and I decided to go on this tour as we felt the tour photographer would know the best sites. We were right. I am an amateur photographer myself specializing in motorsports and rock bands. I've been published in magazines, track programs, and even a recent book. I was hoping to get some tips as well as get some great views of the lake and surrounding areas. Both objectives were met. I got some great photos and, after we got back home, the CD of our guide's photos of us arrived. These were priceless. Great environmental portraits of us at a number of locations that we visited. We did the half day tour and that was plenty. You'll love it for the breathtaking views alone.
