What To Expect

Emerald Bay State Park

The Ultimate Half Day Tour departs at 7:00 am, and focuses on the best of Tahoe’s South and West Shore areas. Our journey begins at a beautiful secluded Tahoe beach, shadowed by spectacular Mt.Tallac. Across the river is an Eagle sanctuary, and you will be able to view and photograph different species of local birds, and possibly even a bear. As the mountains and lakes beckon, our adventures continues to back country lakes and spectacular waterfalls. Above the falls, another high country lake awaits our arrival. Climbing 2,000 feet above Tahoe to a high country ridgeline, gives you amazing views. Continuing to one of the most photographed locations in North America, Emerald Bay. Tahoe Photo Tours will take you to special locations to avoid the crowds.

Sugar Pine State Park

Sugar Pine Point State Park contains one of the finest remaining natural areas on Lake Tahoe. With nearly two miles of lake frontage, the park has dense forests of pine, fir, aspen and juniper. Constructed in 1903, the property is one of the finest examples of a by-gone era of summer retreats found along the shores of Lake Tahoe. With crystal clear waters and up to 24 inch pine cones this is a must see location.

We took this tour on May 31, 2011. It was given to us as a gift by our kids last Xmas. I can now inform the kids that they made a terrific purchase. Robin was our guide and did just an outstanding job informing us about Lake Tahoe and surrounding areas and had another wealth of info about the casino and entertainment businesses. She did a great job taking pictures of us individually and also together with the other 5 people on the tour. The SUV was large enough to handle all 7 of us comfortably. We didn't know the others, but by the end of the tour we were one happy family, including Robin. We just can't wait to see all the pictures that Robin had taken. I would recommend this tour to everyone visiting the Lake Tahoe area.

My mother and I went on this tour. This was the best part of our trip. Our tour guide, Greg was the best. He was so patient and kind as we hiked up to Cascade Falls and a beautiful portion of Emerald Bay. Greg provided us with a lot of history of Lake Tahoe. He took pictures of us with his professional camera. We were told that it usually takes about a week and a half to receive the DVD. I would definitely recommend this tour. We had so much fun! Thanks Greg! I can't wait to see our photos!
