What To Expect

Emerald Bay State Park

The Ultimate Half Day Tour departs at 7:00 am, and focuses on the best of Tahoe’s South and West Shore areas. Our journey begins at a beautiful secluded Tahoe beach, shadowed by spectacular Mt.Tallac. Across the river is an Eagle sanctuary, and you will be able to view and photograph different species of local birds, and possibly even a bear. As the mountains and lakes beckon, our adventures continues to back country lakes and spectacular waterfalls. Above the falls, another high country lake awaits our arrival. Climbing 2,000 feet above Tahoe to a high country ridgeline, gives you amazing views. Continuing to one of the most photographed locations in North America, Emerald Bay. Tahoe Photo Tours will take you to special locations to avoid the crowds.

Sugar Pine State Park

Sugar Pine Point State Park contains one of the finest remaining natural areas on Lake Tahoe. With nearly two miles of lake frontage, the park has dense forests of pine, fir, aspen and juniper. Constructed in 1903, the property is one of the finest examples of a by-gone era of summer retreats found along the shores of Lake Tahoe. With crystal clear waters and up to 24 inch pine cones this is a must see location.

I was a bit skeptical until I talked to the guides on the phone - they were extremely accomodating and helpful and positive. They worked around my available time at Tahoe. And when I was picked up, I knew this would be a great day! We got amazing shots of winter vistas all around Lake Tahoe, as well as individual technical advise about the best settings for each shot. They were very personable and knowledgeable about the area and its history as well. They advised our group on other scenic vistas which we couldn't get to on the trip. I can't say enough good!!! I can't wait to go out again with them, and I hope they follow up on their plans to expand their operations to other National Parks. If they do, I'm there!!

My husband and I went to Tahoe for a short weekend trip for his birthday in late September this year. We had just finished a photography class and were delighted to find Tahoe Photographic Tours. Robin was a fantastic guide, photographer and overall entertainer during our almost day long tour. We would definitely recommend this to all who love the outdoors and the beauty of Tahoe! Don't miss it!

Cannot rave enough about the quality experience this company has to offer. Rather than treating us as the tourists we were, Robin (co-owner and guide) made us feel more like friends in town for a visit. Robin shared the Lake Tahoe that she passionately loves and is so knowledgeable of, taking us to many beautiful scenic spots that the average tourist does not get the opportunity to see. Tahoe PhotographicTours is a "must do" whether visiting for the first time or as a regular to the area. Thank you Robin for a wonderful day! We would have missed so much without you.
