What To Expect

Emerald Bay State Park

The Ultimate Half Day Tour departs at 7:00 am, and focuses on the best of Tahoe’s South and West Shore areas. Our journey begins at a beautiful secluded Tahoe beach, shadowed by spectacular Mt.Tallac. Across the river is an Eagle sanctuary, and you will be able to view and photograph different species of local birds, and possibly even a bear. As the mountains and lakes beckon, our adventures continues to back country lakes and spectacular waterfalls. Above the falls, another high country lake awaits our arrival. Climbing 2,000 feet above Tahoe to a high country ridgeline, gives you amazing views. Continuing to one of the most photographed locations in North America, Emerald Bay. Tahoe Photo Tours will take you to special locations to avoid the crowds.

Sugar Pine State Park

Sugar Pine Point State Park contains one of the finest remaining natural areas on Lake Tahoe. With nearly two miles of lake frontage, the park has dense forests of pine, fir, aspen and juniper. Constructed in 1903, the property is one of the finest examples of a by-gone era of summer retreats found along the shores of Lake Tahoe. With crystal clear waters and up to 24 inch pine cones this is a must see location.

Robin (Keith's wife and our tour guide) was a hoot! Absolutely hilarious and very knowledgeable of the area. She took us to some great places and was snapping pictures left and right for us. We had originally scheduled a horse back riding adventure after the Photographic Tour, and Robin was very accommodating in getting us back on time to go horse back riding. BUT we decided not to go...nothing else was going to compare to what we saw with Robin and Tahoe Photographic Tours. It was breathtaking and forever memorable.

I went on the 1/2 day tour with 3 friends in early September 2010. We selected the tour because it was the #1 rated attraction in South Lake Tahoe by TripAdvisor. Even knowing that, the tour exceeded my expectations. We visited many beautiful locations during our tour that I would have never known existed otherwise. We all fell in love with Lake Tahoe because of this tour. Our tour guide, Matt, was wonderful. He was very friendly, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic during the entire tour. I could really tell that he loves and cares about Lake Tahoe and the tours he gives. I would recommend this tour to everyone.

This was one of the most memorable experiences I have ever had. While Lake Tahoe is truly a gem in the sky, Tahoe Photographic Tours allowed me to see it's many facets. There are so many WOW places I would have missed going off on my own. Robin was an awesome guide. Her stories and knowledge of the area were delightful. While well organized, it wasn't rushed and she made everyone feel welcome and relaxed. I had plenty of time to take as many pictures as I wanted plus was able to simply enjoy the beauty of the area. As suggested I was able to back to a couple of the spots and take more pictures. In the process I found my own secluded area of shore line that allowed me a couple of hours of pure rest and relaxation with in inspiration of the scenery. It was wonderful. Another thing that impressed me greatly, is that this group are great ambassadors for the Lake Tahoe community and it's environment. Keith and Robin, love what they do. It is an opportunity and experience not to be missed. Will definately do this again ~ Thanks guys !
