What To Expect

Emerald Bay State Park

The Ultimate Half Day Tour departs at 7:00 am, and focuses on the best of Tahoe’s South and West Shore areas. Our journey begins at a beautiful secluded Tahoe beach, shadowed by spectacular Mt.Tallac. Across the river is an Eagle sanctuary, and you will be able to view and photograph different species of local birds, and possibly even a bear. As the mountains and lakes beckon, our adventures continues to back country lakes and spectacular waterfalls. Above the falls, another high country lake awaits our arrival. Climbing 2,000 feet above Tahoe to a high country ridgeline, gives you amazing views. Continuing to one of the most photographed locations in North America, Emerald Bay. Tahoe Photo Tours will take you to special locations to avoid the crowds.

Sugar Pine State Park

Sugar Pine Point State Park contains one of the finest remaining natural areas on Lake Tahoe. With nearly two miles of lake frontage, the park has dense forests of pine, fir, aspen and juniper. Constructed in 1903, the property is one of the finest examples of a by-gone era of summer retreats found along the shores of Lake Tahoe. With crystal clear waters and up to 24 inch pine cones this is a must see location.

My wife and I were celebrating our 28th anniversary at South Lake Tahoe, and I was looking for the perfect 'go see / go do' things to make our anniversary memorable. As always, when we take a trip, I look up TripAdvisor. Tahoe Photographic Tours was rated #1 for attractions in Lake Tahoe, and after taking their tour, I can see why. Our tour guide / photographer / driver, Bob, was very knowledgeable (and very friendly) about everything to do about Lake Tahoe. He even gave tips about using our camera to take better pictures. Bob took us to the most scenic spots you can imagine. I can't believe some of the tight roads we took to get to a couple of the spots (we were in a Suburban SUV). Just remember to put on appropriate footwear. There is some walking and climbing involved, but Bob made sure we were safe at all times ( I have a bad knee and my wife has a bad ankle, and we survived without any problems). My wife and I don't have many scenic pictures with us in it (by ourselves), because one of us is usually taking the pictures. But now we have many awesome pictures of us with spectacular backgrounds that were taken by Bob. We're hoping to do the tour again with our adult children (they're very busy, and getting them up to Lake Tahoe at the same time will be the chore). We highly recommend Tahoe Photographic Tours. Oh, and their prices are very reasonable.

Hi--upon recommendation of tripadvior we signed up for this tour and it was fantastic! Bob was friendly and knew a lot about this beautiful place. Definitely a must for both new and seasoned visitors to Tahoe!
