What To Expect

Emerald Bay State Park

The Ultimate Half Day Tour departs at 7:00 am, and focuses on the best of Tahoe’s South and West Shore areas. Our journey begins at a beautiful secluded Tahoe beach, shadowed by spectacular Mt.Tallac. Across the river is an Eagle sanctuary, and you will be able to view and photograph different species of local birds, and possibly even a bear. As the mountains and lakes beckon, our adventures continues to back country lakes and spectacular waterfalls. Above the falls, another high country lake awaits our arrival. Climbing 2,000 feet above Tahoe to a high country ridgeline, gives you amazing views. Continuing to one of the most photographed locations in North America, Emerald Bay. Tahoe Photo Tours will take you to special locations to avoid the crowds.

Sugar Pine State Park

Sugar Pine Point State Park contains one of the finest remaining natural areas on Lake Tahoe. With nearly two miles of lake frontage, the park has dense forests of pine, fir, aspen and juniper. Constructed in 1903, the property is one of the finest examples of a by-gone era of summer retreats found along the shores of Lake Tahoe. With crystal clear waters and up to 24 inch pine cones this is a must see location.

This was definitely one of the best tours I've ever been on. My boyfriend and I loved it. We got some fantastic pictures and our guide Craig was awesome. He was funny and pleasurable to be around. We spent about 4 1/2 hours driving to different locations around Lake Tahoe, taking pictures and getting a little history. We got to see some places off the beaten path that we had not been to, which is always a great thing. For $100 a piece and a DVD with all your pictures you can't beat it. I would definitely do this trip again in another season. If your like my boyfriend and I who don't wind up taking many pictures when your on vacation because you don't want to take all sceanery and want to get some of you together, this is perfect. We posed for some pictures and some were taken off guard which is great.

We went on a photography tour last year with Keith, and we returned to Lake Tahoe with the express intent to take another tour with his company. Robin lead our tour this time. She took us to different locations and many interesting places we had never heard of before. She had a number of very interesting stories about the local history. She never hurried us, took a lot of pictures of us and the wonderful scenery, and customized our tour based on our interests. We will definitely book another trip the next time we are in the area.

INCREDIBLE TOUR INCREDIBLE PEOPLE FANTASTIC PHOTOS This is in reference to the review called “ Waste of Money” . I don’t know what tour company you went with, but I just got back from a wonderful experience with Tahoe Photographic Tours. Everything you said is wrong. I received 135 of the most beautiful photos I have ever seen of my family and Lake Tahoe. I have been going to Tahoe for many years, and couldn’t believe the different places Keith took my party to. I have never been treated so well on any other tour. These guys really care about the guest! The five hours we spent with Keith flew by as he took us to spectacular location after location, while keeping the energy going by telling you all about historical facts of Tahoe and his incredible wild life photography experiences. This is absolutely the best price value thing to do in Lake Tahoe. Brett Borgers
