Emerald Bay State Park
The Ultimate Half Day Tour departs at 7:00 am, and focuses on the best of Tahoeā€™s South and West Shore areas. Our journey begins at a beautiful secluded Tahoe beach, shadowed by spectacular Mt.Tallac. Across the river is an Eagle sanctuary, and you will be able to view and photograph different species of local birds, and possibly even a bear. As the mountains and lakes beckon, our adventures continues to back country lakes and spectacular waterfalls. Above the falls, another high country lake awaits our arrival. Climbing 2,000 feet above Tahoe to a high country ridgeline, gives you amazing views. Continuing to one of the most photographed locations in North America, Emerald Bay. Tahoe Photo Tours will take you to special locations to avoid the crowds.

Sugar Pine State Park
Sugar Pine Point State Park contains one of the finest remaining natural areas on Lake Tahoe. With nearly two miles of lake frontage, the park has dense forests of pine, fir, aspen and juniper. Constructed in 1903, the property is one of the finest examples of a by-gone era of summer retreats found along the shores of Lake Tahoe. With crystal clear waters and up to 24 inch pine cones this is a must see location.

The photographic tour my girlfriends and I took with Keith Price of Tahoe Photographic Tours was hands-down the highlight of our recent trip. Keith took us to off the beaten path to gorgeous locations we wouldn't have found on our own. He offered helpful tips to the photographers among us regarding angles, light, film speed, subject matter, and perspective, all the while snapping pictures with his own camera of our group and the scenery. Keith has lived in the area for a long time, but he continues to revel in the expectedly predictable beauty of the scenery as well as the unexpected delights that develop each day. We saw "blizzards" of golden aspen leaves blowing off the trees in the strong winds of an incoming storm, and Keith was as excited as we were - stopping the car so we could all stand in and take pictures of the downpour and drift of the leaves. We went to see the salmon spawning along the nature walk, and were thrilled to encounter a large and frisky black bear up very close - it repeatedly crossed our path. Keith is a bear aficionado, and we were very interested to hear about his bear encounters in Tahoe and in other wilderness areas. Our trip with Keith will be a fond memory for a long time, and we have his photos from our outing to keep the memories fresh - Keith's photo tour includes a cd/dvd of all of the photos he took during the outing which is mailed the week after the tour. We highly recommend this tour and Keith! Fabulous!

What a wonderful time we spend with Keith Price taking us on the back roads of Tahoe. We never would have seen the remote "inner" beauty of the area. We saw a bear while he splashed in the river as the salmon were swimming by him, an eagle perched high in a tree as if guarding his territory, a small chapel in the woods (we met the visiting minister) and amazing desolate beauty so near civilization. All were captured by Keith on camera and we now can view the pictures and recall with fond memories - Keith Price's Photographic Tour.
