What To Expect

Emerald Bay State Park

The Ultimate Half Day Tour departs at 7:00 am, and focuses on the best of Tahoe’s South and West Shore areas. Our journey begins at a beautiful secluded Tahoe beach, shadowed by spectacular Mt.Tallac. Across the river is an Eagle sanctuary, and you will be able to view and photograph different species of local birds, and possibly even a bear. As the mountains and lakes beckon, our adventures continues to back country lakes and spectacular waterfalls. Above the falls, another high country lake awaits our arrival. Climbing 2,000 feet above Tahoe to a high country ridgeline, gives you amazing views. Continuing to one of the most photographed locations in North America, Emerald Bay. Tahoe Photo Tours will take you to special locations to avoid the crowds.

Sugar Pine State Park

Sugar Pine Point State Park contains one of the finest remaining natural areas on Lake Tahoe. With nearly two miles of lake frontage, the park has dense forests of pine, fir, aspen and juniper. Constructed in 1903, the property is one of the finest examples of a by-gone era of summer retreats found along the shores of Lake Tahoe. With crystal clear waters and up to 24 inch pine cones this is a must see location.

Jim was fantastic tour guide and an even better photography teacher. His local knowledge got us to the best spots with little traffic. Anyone visiting Lake Tahoe must not miss this experience!

"I Thank you from the bottom of my heart" is a phrase that people would love to be able to say in response to something wonderful. But we don't hear it enough. Sometimes it is because people just don't express their appreciation enough, but other times it is because the thing experienced was not so wonderful. Neither of these apply in the case of our time spent with Keith and Robin during this photographic tour. It was truly wonderful. God's beautiful creation in Tahoe was always there, but Keith made it come alive by placing us right in the middle of the picture of it all. Both literally and figuratively we became a part of the history of Lake Tahoe as well as Keith's life (and will return to experience it again). You too can feel connected to both the landscape and the person who will help you painlessly navigate it all for the maximum experience. "From the bottom of our hearts, thank you" to you Keith and Robin, and to those reading this review, please book the tour, you will be glad that you did for a thousand wonderful reasons. What a wonderful day exploring Lake Tahoe by circumventing the lake and taking pictures from various spectacular spots. They picked us up in a comfortable minivan and the guide Jim was insightful, kind, and understanding. They also took pictures along the way which they will send to you 1-2 weeks later. Great tour!
