What To Expect

Emerald Bay State Park

The Ultimate Half Day Tour departs at 7:00 am, and focuses on the best of Tahoe’s South and West Shore areas. Our journey begins at a beautiful secluded Tahoe beach, shadowed by spectacular Mt.Tallac. Across the river is an Eagle sanctuary, and you will be able to view and photograph different species of local birds, and possibly even a bear. As the mountains and lakes beckon, our adventures continues to back country lakes and spectacular waterfalls. Above the falls, another high country lake awaits our arrival. Climbing 2,000 feet above Tahoe to a high country ridgeline, gives you amazing views. Continuing to one of the most photographed locations in North America, Emerald Bay. Tahoe Photo Tours will take you to special locations to avoid the crowds.

Sugar Pine State Park

Sugar Pine Point State Park contains one of the finest remaining natural areas on Lake Tahoe. With nearly two miles of lake frontage, the park has dense forests of pine, fir, aspen and juniper. Constructed in 1903, the property is one of the finest examples of a by-gone era of summer retreats found along the shores of Lake Tahoe. With crystal clear waters and up to 24 inch pine cones this is a must see location.

Keith was my tour guide. He was awesome and someone I highly recommend. I wanted to do a tour as having never been to Tahoe, I wanted to maximize the time. In one day Keith got us around the Lake and got some amazing pictures of us at the same time. Robin was the office manager and she was amazing as well. She took such good care of us and even helped us get reservations at an amazing restaurant. By the end of the trip Keith and Robin was no longer just someone giving an amazing tour, they became friends. I'm coming back in Oct. and will be using Tahoe Photography Tours again! If you want to see the Lake in spots that aren't crowded with people, these guys can hook you up.

WOW! Talk about amazing! WE meet Keith and he drove us around the lake. We made stops and walked a few trails. He had water, hand sanitizer, masks, and knowledge of the area to be a true guide. We walked to a place where if alone we would have stopped and he said step up on the rock or squeeze between these bushes and then the view went from amazing to spectacular! He took photos of the landscape and of us in the sett that we will cherish always. He history and knowledge of the area were priceless, but the photos to go along with it there are not sufficient to describe. We have already recommended it to many friends!

This was a fun and entertaining tour. My son loved playing in the snow, wife loved the views and I loved shooting photos of landscapes that we do not get at home. Our guide was very professional yet very personable and friendly. He not only provided information about the areas but also some photography conversation and tips for a amateur photographer. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting and wanting to get away from the usual tourist areas.
