What To Expect

Emerald Bay State Park

The Ultimate Half Day Tour departs at 7:00 am, and focuses on the best of Tahoe’s South and West Shore areas. Our journey begins at a beautiful secluded Tahoe beach, shadowed by spectacular Mt.Tallac. Across the river is an Eagle sanctuary, and you will be able to view and photograph different species of local birds, and possibly even a bear. As the mountains and lakes beckon, our adventures continues to back country lakes and spectacular waterfalls. Above the falls, another high country lake awaits our arrival. Climbing 2,000 feet above Tahoe to a high country ridgeline, gives you amazing views. Continuing to one of the most photographed locations in North America, Emerald Bay. Tahoe Photo Tours will take you to special locations to avoid the crowds.

Sugar Pine State Park

Sugar Pine Point State Park contains one of the finest remaining natural areas on Lake Tahoe. With nearly two miles of lake frontage, the park has dense forests of pine, fir, aspen and juniper. Constructed in 1903, the property is one of the finest examples of a by-gone era of summer retreats found along the shores of Lake Tahoe. With crystal clear waters and up to 24 inch pine cones this is a must see location.

This is a must do activity while visiting or living in Lake Tahoe. Definitely worth the time and money. Keith (owner) picked us up at our hotel at a decent hour and dropped us off right at door of hotel after a full day of sightseeing and photographing the entire 90 mile trip around the lake. Very helpful with camera settings and locations to get best shots. Can’t wait to rebook during the fall.

This photography tour was the highlight of our trip to South Lake Tahoe. My 17 year old daughter and I had the most amazing time. Keith is a very talented photographer, he definitely knows how to capture that "million dollar" shot. We enjoyed his knowledge of the area, as well as his entertaining stories. He truly loves what he does and it shows. We feel so blessed looking at our beautiful pictures. I highly recommend this tour, it was a special day we will always remember.

Keith picked us up at the hotel and provided a day of unique photography locations providing a perfect sense for the Tahoe area. This was done with expert commentary of both the history of the lake and technical suggestions for capturing it's beauty. The tour was adaptive to our requests and interests.
