What To Expect

Emerald Bay State Park

The Ultimate Half Day Tour departs at 7:00 am, and focuses on the best of Tahoe’s South and West Shore areas. Our journey begins at a beautiful secluded Tahoe beach, shadowed by spectacular Mt.Tallac. Across the river is an Eagle sanctuary, and you will be able to view and photograph different species of local birds, and possibly even a bear. As the mountains and lakes beckon, our adventures continues to back country lakes and spectacular waterfalls. Above the falls, another high country lake awaits our arrival. Climbing 2,000 feet above Tahoe to a high country ridgeline, gives you amazing views. Continuing to one of the most photographed locations in North America, Emerald Bay. Tahoe Photo Tours will take you to special locations to avoid the crowds.

Sugar Pine State Park

Sugar Pine Point State Park contains one of the finest remaining natural areas on Lake Tahoe. With nearly two miles of lake frontage, the park has dense forests of pine, fir, aspen and juniper. Constructed in 1903, the property is one of the finest examples of a by-gone era of summer retreats found along the shores of Lake Tahoe. With crystal clear waters and up to 24 inch pine cones this is a must see location.

Keith picked us up promptly at 9:00. We booked an all day tour and he went beyond our expectations. He definitely knows his way around as we were stuck in traffic a couple of times and he found a way out of the traffic. Beside being an avid navigator, Keith is excellent with the camera and taught us several things about our cameras that we didn't know. We even went out with Keith the next morning for another view of Emerald Bay. If you like photography and nature, this is definitely the excursion to take...Highly recommended.

Keith was our tour guide and we loved our time with him! He knows all of the best scenic spots and took us to so many amazing places that we would never have found on our own! He is so knowledgeable about the area and wildlife and had so many interesting facts to share with us. You can tell he truly loves the Lake Tahoe area and photography by his excitement and enthusiasm that he shares with his tour groups. He was very patient and kind in giving tips and ideas to improve our photography, and he took lots of beautiful pictures of us in each spot and shared them with us as well. He went above and beyond in taking us to many more places than we expected and was nice enough to keep taking us around even when our tour time was officially over. He even offered to pick us up again the next morning to see the places we hadn't had time to see the day before! We were very impressed and grateful! My husband and I both loved the tour (he isn't even into photography but still learned tips for taking better pictures with his phone and loved seeing all the beautiful places we went). We would highly recommend this tour and Keith to everyone! We will definitely book with him again next time we're in the area!
