What To Expect

Emerald Bay State Park

The Ultimate Half Day Tour departs at 7:00 am, and focuses on the best of Tahoe’s South and West Shore areas. Our journey begins at a beautiful secluded Tahoe beach, shadowed by spectacular Mt.Tallac. Across the river is an Eagle sanctuary, and you will be able to view and photograph different species of local birds, and possibly even a bear. As the mountains and lakes beckon, our adventures continues to back country lakes and spectacular waterfalls. Above the falls, another high country lake awaits our arrival. Climbing 2,000 feet above Tahoe to a high country ridgeline, gives you amazing views. Continuing to one of the most photographed locations in North America, Emerald Bay. Tahoe Photo Tours will take you to special locations to avoid the crowds.

Sugar Pine State Park

Sugar Pine Point State Park contains one of the finest remaining natural areas on Lake Tahoe. With nearly two miles of lake frontage, the park has dense forests of pine, fir, aspen and juniper. Constructed in 1903, the property is one of the finest examples of a by-gone era of summer retreats found along the shores of Lake Tahoe. With crystal clear waters and up to 24 inch pine cones this is a must see location.

Keith and Robin Price have a fantastic business model: they want their tour customers to be totally satisfied with their tour. They are totally successful! This was the best photo tour that I have taken. Keith and Robin went out of their way to be sure that the number of participants was limited and were able to put together an all photographer tour. We were picked up in a new SUV at our hotel and immediately taken to an amazing and pretty well hidden waterfall. Throughout the tour, Keith was excited and knowledgeable. It was a treat to have an experienced photographer who shared photo settings, helped new photographers, and even shared photos that he had taken. Keith's knowledge of Lake Tahoe and its history is extensive, interesting, and made the trip even more valuable. Keith's knowledge of the best spots and how to get there gave us more spectacular photos than we could have ever gotten alone. My friend and I got to South Lake Tahoe a day early and tried to find good places to go on the internet. We wound up walking most of it and not getting very many great places. Keith took us to sites that he had found over the years and that gave us the best angles and the most scenic opportunities. Keith's photo website is not to be missed. He is a pro photographer. Just seeing his work made us anxious to do the tour. I would love to go back in the spring when there is even more snow on the mountains. The whole experience from booking with Robin to touring with Keith made the tour the highlight of our vacation. There is no substitute for their tour. When we were done, we felt like we had new friends. Our next outing in Lake Tahoe will start with booking another tour with Tahoe Photographic Tours.

After reading all the reviews of the tour agencies around Lake Tahoe, my friend and I decided to book with Tahoe Photographic Tours. We could not have made a better choice! Since my friend and I are serious photographers and it was our first time in the beautiful Lake Tahoe area we wanted to make sure we had a professional tour guide with local knowledge of Lake Tahoe. We were not disappointed. We were picked up at our hotel in South Lake Tahoe in the morning. Our guide for the day was Keith Price, the owner of Tahoe Photographic Tours. Keith is an exceptional photographer! His enthusiasm from the start of the day to the end was infectious. He obviously loves his job. All day as we traveled from site to site Keith educated us on the history of the area. He took us to spectacular sites we could have never discovered on our own. We had a great day and it went so fast we were sorry it had to come to an end. We will return to the area and will contact Keith and book again with Tahoe Photographic Tours. He indicated at the end of the day that there were many more places he would like us to see. By the end of the day both my friend and I felt we had made a new friend for life in Keith. My siblings and I visited Tahoe with our mom to celebrate her 80th year and I wanted to make it special. Booking this tour with Keith as our guide and photographer certainly was the highlight of our trip. Lake Tahoe was beautiful but Keith made it magical. He took our photos in his "secret" places that turned out amazing and gave us the opportunity to see Lake Tahoe beyond the usual tourist sights. Keith's photos of us will always remind us of that extraordinary day in Lake Tahoe. Thank you Keith!
