What To Expect

Emerald Bay State Park

The Ultimate Half Day Tour departs at 7:00 am, and focuses on the best of Tahoe’s South and West Shore areas. Our journey begins at a beautiful secluded Tahoe beach, shadowed by spectacular Mt.Tallac. Across the river is an Eagle sanctuary, and you will be able to view and photograph different species of local birds, and possibly even a bear. As the mountains and lakes beckon, our adventures continues to back country lakes and spectacular waterfalls. Above the falls, another high country lake awaits our arrival. Climbing 2,000 feet above Tahoe to a high country ridgeline, gives you amazing views. Continuing to one of the most photographed locations in North America, Emerald Bay. Tahoe Photo Tours will take you to special locations to avoid the crowds.

Sugar Pine State Park

Sugar Pine Point State Park contains one of the finest remaining natural areas on Lake Tahoe. With nearly two miles of lake frontage, the park has dense forests of pine, fir, aspen and juniper. Constructed in 1903, the property is one of the finest examples of a by-gone era of summer retreats found along the shores of Lake Tahoe. With crystal clear waters and up to 24 inch pine cones this is a must see location.

Jim provides an unbelievable photography experience! We had door to door service, saw so many scenic spots and received private instruction with a fun and TALENTED (and patient) guide/photographer. Our photos are just breathtaking! Jim is the ultimate professional. Book it without any hesitation!

My husband and I just celebrated our anniversary. This was a great trip for pictures. They took pictures of us and the scenery. The two of us were the only ones on the tour. Jim was our guide. We brought tripod camping chairs to sit after walking a little bit, since I cannot stand for long periods of time. Then while we were at the sight, I was able to sit and look and take pictures. It was a wonderful trip. I think when you book, it is only the group of people you are with, traveling together. Then you ride together in the car, to each of the spots. -Take some snacks for the half day. -Take a hat and sunglasses -We stopped at a place with a popsicle freezer that we bought a cookie sandwich and popsicle. -They had water for us. -There were also some stops for the restrooms too. The waterfall was beautiful and the scenery was amazing! This is really a wonderful thing to do at Lake Tahoe. He also talked a little about the history of the area. Before we went, I called and asked Keith & Robin (the owners) questions about it. They told us the day before, who our guide was and what time to meet. They said Lakeside Casino has free parking, so we parked there and met them at the hotel registration area. They were very helpful and told me anything I wondered about. Please, please call and speak with them before you go!! It was amazing to hear all the things about photography Keith described.

I had a great tour of the Lake with Keith, he took us to absolutely beautiful spots around the Lake. This tour is a Must Do while in Tahoe. Will do the tour every time I'm in Tahoe for sure.
