What To Expect

Emerald Bay State Park

The Ultimate Half Day Tour departs at 7:00 am, and focuses on the best of Tahoe’s South and West Shore areas. Our journey begins at a beautiful secluded Tahoe beach, shadowed by spectacular Mt.Tallac. Across the river is an Eagle sanctuary, and you will be able to view and photograph different species of local birds, and possibly even a bear. As the mountains and lakes beckon, our adventures continues to back country lakes and spectacular waterfalls. Above the falls, another high country lake awaits our arrival. Climbing 2,000 feet above Tahoe to a high country ridgeline, gives you amazing views. Continuing to one of the most photographed locations in North America, Emerald Bay. Tahoe Photo Tours will take you to special locations to avoid the crowds.

Sugar Pine State Park

Sugar Pine Point State Park contains one of the finest remaining natural areas on Lake Tahoe. With nearly two miles of lake frontage, the park has dense forests of pine, fir, aspen and juniper. Constructed in 1903, the property is one of the finest examples of a by-gone era of summer retreats found along the shores of Lake Tahoe. With crystal clear waters and up to 24 inch pine cones this is a must see location.

Just wanted to say what a pleasure it was taking the tour on 8/9/18. Our tour guide did everything in his power to satisfy everyone on the tour. It was not only fun but educational about the area. And he even took our pictures which was an added bonus that I totally wasn't expecting. Thank You for sharing them too.... Unfortunately, the photo has a little haze due to the fires that were in the distance but nonetheless Lake Tahoe didn't disappoint and neither did our guide.

Our guide Rosie is knowledgeable of the areas to NOT miss and her talent for photography met our expectations and the time she spent with us was sufficient. It was a pleasure to speak to Keith and Robin. They confirmed our trip agenda and pickup info which was at our hotel. Keith took us to well planned locations, beautiful spots where there were very few other tourists. He helped instruct us regarding camera aspects and was both friendly and professional. His pictures of my wife and me (which he emailed a week later) are some of the best we've had taken in a long while. I was very pleased with everything, but to top it off, Robin called after our trip to let me know that I had left my jacket in Keith's car and that she would drive it over to our hotel on her way into town that afternoon!
