Emerald Bay State Park
The Ultimate Half Day Tour departs at 7:00 am, and focuses on the best of Tahoeā€™s South and West Shore areas. Our journey begins at a beautiful secluded Tahoe beach, shadowed by spectacular Mt.Tallac. Across the river is an Eagle sanctuary, and you will be able to view and photograph different species of local birds, and possibly even a bear. As the mountains and lakes beckon, our adventures continues to back country lakes and spectacular waterfalls. Above the falls, another high country lake awaits our arrival. Climbing 2,000 feet above Tahoe to a high country ridgeline, gives you amazing views. Continuing to one of the most photographed locations in North America, Emerald Bay. Tahoe Photo Tours will take you to special locations to avoid the crowds.

Sugar Pine State Park
Sugar Pine Point State Park contains one of the finest remaining natural areas on Lake Tahoe. With nearly two miles of lake frontage, the park has dense forests of pine, fir, aspen and juniper. Constructed in 1903, the property is one of the finest examples of a by-gone era of summer retreats found along the shores of Lake Tahoe. With crystal clear waters and up to 24 inch pine cones this is a must see location.

I have owned a timeshare at Hyatt Resort in Incline for over 15 years. I have gone there almost every year with my family. In the past I have driven around the beautiful lake to find photographic opportunities. This year my wife and I wanted to see if we could improve on what we had found in the past, so I signed us up for Tahoe Photographic Tours. From the very beginning I was impressed by the level of service I got from Robin, when she signed us up. On the day of the tour I met Keith Price, who served as our guide. Keith is an experience photographer with an amazing landscape and wild life portfolio. If you meet him ask to see his pictures with the Bears. Keith drove us to locations I had never seen, with fantastic photographic opportunities. All of the locations were new to me and most were off the typical paths. Keith new where to go to avoid the typical summer crowds that can often hinder taking pictures, while still providing great angles. Keith took us to specific vantage points, shared recommendations on camera settings and then used his camera to take pictures of us at various locations that he later sent us with no additional charge. Along the drive Kieth shared some of his travels and his portfolio and I have to say I was impressed. The next day my wife and I went to a local gallery just to see more of his work. This is not your typical tour where you are with a large crowd and just get dropped off at the various sites. Our group had 5 people and Keith personally saw to our individual needs. It felt more like a family seeing the sites than a commercial tour. The best recommendation I can give is that I am looking forward to returning to take advantage of other tours Keith has to offer throughout the year.

Hello James, Thank you so very much for taking the time to submit such a wonderful review. it's always a special moment when I'm able to take my guests to locations they have never seen. Even though they have been to Tahoe many times they often respond with " I've never been to some of the spots before"! Thank you for letting me share my portfolio and for the opportunity to spend the day with you. Our tours start off as new guests in Tahoe and by the end of the day we are now friends. Thank you again for the opportunity to share a little bit of Lake Tahoe with you, and I look forward to your return visit.

My husband surprised me with this tour as a birthday gift. Keith was my guide for the day-long photographic tour. He was on time and the transportation was terrific. He brought me to sites that we have never been before...and even at sites we had visited (we go to Tahoe each year in July), he knew the less traveled areas where we were the only ones there and the views were positively majestic. He had his camera bag as well, and with his easy style, shared his thinking on camera settings and ideas on what he typically does in post. I asked questions about post processing and we compared notes on how we use Lightroom. And as we traveled around the lake Keith shared many of his unbelievable stories of his wildlife photography outings as well. He is a treasure. I thoroughly enjoyed the day. And Keith took some pictures of me in the landscape, so this time I was IN the photos, not behind the camera. I didn't expect the beautiful photos he sent to me after the trip. Within the week he sent a link to share the photos and it was a fantastic way to cap off the adventure. If you are new to Tahoe or a regular visitor, this day was a perfect choice to admire the beauty of Tahoe and take some stunning photographs. And if you are not a photographer, this is still a great day. Keith has a easy way of storytelling, he is knowledgeable about the area and history of Tahoe, and truly loves the geography and sharing the beauty of it with visitors.
