What To Expect

Emerald Bay State Park

The Ultimate Half Day Tour departs at 7:00 am, and focuses on the best of Tahoe’s South and West Shore areas. Our journey begins at a beautiful secluded Tahoe beach, shadowed by spectacular Mt.Tallac. Across the river is an Eagle sanctuary, and you will be able to view and photograph different species of local birds, and possibly even a bear. As the mountains and lakes beckon, our adventures continues to back country lakes and spectacular waterfalls. Above the falls, another high country lake awaits our arrival. Climbing 2,000 feet above Tahoe to a high country ridgeline, gives you amazing views. Continuing to one of the most photographed locations in North America, Emerald Bay. Tahoe Photo Tours will take you to special locations to avoid the crowds.

Sugar Pine State Park

Sugar Pine Point State Park contains one of the finest remaining natural areas on Lake Tahoe. With nearly two miles of lake frontage, the park has dense forests of pine, fir, aspen and juniper. Constructed in 1903, the property is one of the finest examples of a by-gone era of summer retreats found along the shores of Lake Tahoe. With crystal clear waters and up to 24 inch pine cones this is a must see location.

It was the perfect day to go on this tour. The weather was just beautiful. Our tour guide took us to see views of the scenery both on and off the beaten path. At every one you could look out and see the sun glisening down on the clear, aqua blue water. I have never been so close to such a gorgeous waterfall. She was well versed on the history of the Erhman Mansion. As she told us stories, we peered into the windows and looked out on what was their view. I for one would have been happy just to be the help. Their houses were on the beach :) My husband and I took lots of pictures that we will look back on for many years to come. Would love to do it again in the future. I highly recommend this tour to any who are interested in seeing the best Lake Tahoe has to offer.

My husband is a photographer so we thought it would be nice to take this excursion to see some places that were off the beaten path. Our guide was incredible. She took us to places that we would never have found and we got some amazing pictures. She even took pictures of the two of us at these beautiful places. What an enjoyable day and memories that will last a lifetime. Thanks so much for a fantastic trip. If you are reading this and are thinking about taking this tour, don't hesitate. Our photo tour with Keith was awesome! Keith and his wife communicated very well ahead of time, and Keith arrived at our doorstep to take us on our adventure. Keith couldn't have been any nicer, and we enjoyed learning about the Tahoe area as well as sharing photography experiences and tips. We visited some awesome locations that we would never have found on our own, took some great pictures, saw some amazing sights on what felt like we had a private tour of Tahoe!
