What To Expect

Emerald Bay State Park

The Ultimate Half Day Tour departs at 7:00 am, and focuses on the best of Tahoe’s South and West Shore areas. Our journey begins at a beautiful secluded Tahoe beach, shadowed by spectacular Mt.Tallac. Across the river is an Eagle sanctuary, and you will be able to view and photograph different species of local birds, and possibly even a bear. As the mountains and lakes beckon, our adventures continues to back country lakes and spectacular waterfalls. Above the falls, another high country lake awaits our arrival. Climbing 2,000 feet above Tahoe to a high country ridgeline, gives you amazing views. Continuing to one of the most photographed locations in North America, Emerald Bay. Tahoe Photo Tours will take you to special locations to avoid the crowds.

Sugar Pine State Park

Sugar Pine Point State Park contains one of the finest remaining natural areas on Lake Tahoe. With nearly two miles of lake frontage, the park has dense forests of pine, fir, aspen and juniper. Constructed in 1903, the property is one of the finest examples of a by-gone era of summer retreats found along the shores of Lake Tahoe. With crystal clear waters and up to 24 inch pine cones this is a must see location.

It was our first time visiting Lake Tahoe and we planned the tour early on in the trip so that we could familiarise ourselves with the beaches, view points an surrounding areas as we would then go back by ourselves to the very special places. Keith was an amazing guide, extremely knowlegable about the whole area and provided some really good photography tips for myself who is a novice with the camera. The traffic was heavy over the labour day weekend and couldn't manage to get around all the places but Keith arranged to take us out again a couple of days later and took us to Sand Harbour, this place is spectacular for photos and we returned later on in the trip by ourselves. Keith provided lots of excellent photos, ones we will cherish always, superb quality and service. Don't hesitate to book this tour you will not be disappointed. Thanks Keith for the memories of Lake Tahoe we definitely plan on returning and would book again with with. Kind regards to Robin also. J & I.

Not only did Keith, our tour guide, take us on a truly remarkable tour of Lake Tahoe, he also took amazing photos of our family. Keith also has vast knowledge of the Lake Tahoe area. We even saw bear and her cubs. What impressed me the most was that he took the time to explain to my daughter some pointers on how to utilize her camera. I'm not a photographer, but I also learned a lot about photography on this tour.

My family spent the day with Keith photographing the best sights in Tahoe. Coordinating the trip was a breeze and we scheduled a week prior through his wonderful wife Robin. He picked us up from our hotel right on time and was extremely friendly. We visited DL Bliss State Park, Sugar Pine Point, Emerald Bay and Sand Harbor. My 16 year old daughter is an amateur photographer and Keith was a truly incredible instructor, helping her throughout the day. His passion for photography is very evident but his joy in showing Tahoe to his guests was the highlight of our day. There are 5-star ratings and then there are truly exceptional experiences, this was one of them!
