Overview

Our meeting time of 8:30 is the optimal time as we are one of the first to get on and usually get back before the strong afternoon winds pick up. Kayaking on lake Yellowstone on a old volcano is truly one of the top five things to do while in the park. With our small group tours we are able to personalize the tour and really show our guests this place in a unique way. All of our kayaks have a rudders which is very important on windy days and is a great way to steer with ease. Our naturalist guides/level 3 ACA certified trip leaders are in the top of their field and have years of experience, this helps when talking about Yellowstone as a naturalist and safety as a seasoned guide. Kayaking past the west thumb geyser and Potts geyser basin is a truly special way see this area of Yellowstone lakes thermal features, With our fast and stable kayaks we are able to cover more ground safety to optimize guests overall experience

This was an absolute highlight of our trip to Yellowstone!! I am so glad we booked this tour! My daughters, age 9 and 11, and I had never kayaked before, so we were a little nervous. Joe was our guide and was phenomenal - he gave us great instruction in using the kayaks and had so much knowledge about the area! We got to see a geyser erupt that is only visible to tourists from the water and saw 4 bald eagles. We had the best time! The lake and surroundings are beautiful. We highly recommend this adventure to anyone visiting Yelllwstone!

The experience we had with Quentin was phenomenal. He was very personable to us and the the other people in our group. He was very knowledgeable about Yellowstone and kayaking. In Yellowstone we were not aware to or who with to book a kayaking excursion though. Shout out to the visitors center at Grant Village in the park. While looking though the list we came a cross Shurr. I had a couple questions prior to booking and the response times were so great! When we walked up the docks for the trip and owner asked us if we were “my name group” and was very welcoming. They provided everything you could need for the small trip from snackes to water and a verity of safety things for your belongings. We would 100000% use Shurr adventures and hoping he can tour us again! Thank you for a great time 🤗

Our guide Joe was so great! He knew a ton of the history of the park and the geology as well… it was a highlight of our Yellowstone trip!
