Overview

Our small group snorkeling tours are locally owned and operated, making you feel like a part of our Maui ohana! Since 1982 we have offered snorkeling trips on our quick and safe rafting vessels to the island of Lanai where we find secret coves, sea cliffs, tropical reef, marine life and dolphins! This trip includes whale watching during whale migration months (December-April). Every ticket supports active marine research and our efforts as part of the whale entanglement response team here on Maui!

When I got to Maui I started asking around about snorkeling tours. We'd heard that Molokini Crater was awesome, but after talking to locals, we found out that Lanai Island is even better; less crowded and more to see. The Snorkel Store and Boss Frogs both recommended Lanai Island, but the guys at the Snorkel Store at Fairway Shopping Centre were really good; giving good advice, booking the tour for me and giving me a flotation device. We went with Whale Tours and they were fantastic: we got to snorkel in two great locations - Lanai and outside of Lahaina. Both sites provided turtles, tons of fish and the Captain Amy and her able Sidekick Hannah ended the day by taking us out to see the Dolphins. We were out with a pod of dolphins for ages, even went over time (we had the 4 hour tour). The snacks were tasty and the timing for the day was spot on.

The crew members on this cruise are extremely kind and professional. The cruise is wonderful ... the coast of Lanai is a great coral garden, and there are lots of dolphins swimming next to the boat! Enjoy!

The Lanai Snorkel Dolphin Express tour was a very good snorkeling experience. The crew was knowledgeable, fun and very skilled. They knew where to go with the weather, current and visibility conditions to find the best places to take us. The boat was well maintained and comfortable. Keeping the number of patrons to less than 22 also allowed for a very pleasant morning of boating and snorkeling.
