Your admission includes a 70-minute tour with a knowledgeable guide who shares the rich history of Creole culture as seen through the lens of the family who owned Laura Plantation for generations. Tour the main house, grounds and slave quarters as you gain insight into the people who lived and worked here for centuries.

Laura Plantation: Louisiana's Creole Heritage Site
Take a guided tour offered daily in English and French. Your tour includes the Maison Principale, gardens, and original 1840s slave cabins. Hear stories of four generations of one Louisiana Creole family, free and enslaved.

Great visit, too bad there isn’t one in French! The estate is magnificent, the apartments are very well maintained as well as the exterior.

Excellent visit led in French by Gilles, a Frenchman passionate about history who clearly showed us the Franco-American link reigning at that time.
