Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
Minimum numbers apply. There must be 2 participants for each activity. There is a possibility of cancellation after confirmation if there are not enough participants to meet requirements. In the event of this occurring, you will be offered an alternative or full refund

Surfing is a naturally socially distant sport and we have had no Covid cases associated with any of our instructors or clients since the onset. We have helped hundreds of clients learn to surf in that time and are very careful to keep appropriate space along with equipment sanitized.

We wanted our 16-year-old to learn to surf while we were in CA from the east coast. After booking online, Thomas texted the evening before our lesson to arrange a time and place that was both convenient for our touring schedule as well as ideal for surfing. We ended up not being able to go at the ideal time, but Thomas made sure it still worked. Thomas started the lesson with lots of verbal explanation on the beach, which we weren't sure would work for our son, but once in the water, Thomas had our son up on a wave by the third attempt! Our son said his instruction in the water was clear and helpful, and he had a total blast for the full 90-minute lesson. I would highly recommend iSurf and Thomas to any beginner!

I stood on the board for the first time! I had taken a surf lesson two years ago and wasn't able to stand but because Thomas explained everything so well I got it super fast. He made sure to watch each time and give me feedback on what I did right and what I did wrong so I could correct for next time. Highly recommend taking a lesson from him!

We signed up my husband and two daughters (11 and 13) for three private surf lessons over spring break and couldn’t be happier with our experience. Thomas was our instructor for all three days. He was super kind and patient with our daughters who were very nervous about trying surfing for the first time. He immediately put them at ease and helped them through some frustrating moments with a great sense of humor, contagious positivity and endless patience. Thomas had my entire family up and surfing on their first lesson and provided great technical advice throughout the week that built their confidence, consistency and skills. We are super thankful for Thomas and the great service we received throughout our lessons. Highly recommend to anyone looking to learn to surf in the Santa Barbara area.
