Legoland Discovery Center in Chicago is not at all friendly to families with eating restrictions. After being given permission over the phone to bring food that we could eat, when on site we were rudely asked to leave. No effort was made to accommodate us, nor did they uphold what we were told on the phone. I've never had a kid's attraction refuse to with me, especially when I've sought permission ahead of time. I've been taking kids since this location opened, and we noticed some big differences this time around. My kids had great experiences there in the past. Now I'm taking nieces, nephews, etc. In the past few years, the Discovery Center has become rundown. The staff are rude and do not seem to enjoy their jobs. Lego creations have been removed, attractions are beat up or broken, and many of the building sites are missing key Lego pieces. For example, the race building station that is a long-time favorite is missing pieces they recommend (in signs around the race area) to build a vehicle. On top of that, the price continues to go up. This was a mainstay for us, but I don't think we'll be back. My money is better spent elsewhere. The disrespectful staff put it over the top for me.
