We are Legoland repeat customers. We have been to Chicago and Kansas City Discovery Center and, I think Chicago has my heart. There is plenty to do here for kids. You start out with a 4D virtual reality race (add on cost of $6). The kids seemed to enjoy it. Next, you enter the master builder section where you are presented with Chicago in Lego form. Several interactive pieces are included here, including a little Blues Brothers! You continue your tour through the jungle, where monkeys, hippos and other jungle animals are available for picture posing. The first ride is a dragon car through a tunnel with interactive laser guns to score points and challenge the family to save the princess. Next stop is upstairs. Here you can attend several 3D movies, visit Lego friends, take a master builder class or play to your hearts content. Ride number 2 is also located upstairs where you pedal your car to make it fly high on a merry-go-round like ride. They have a Starbucks snack bar and plenty of tables for the parents to sit and relax (bring a book or a friend if your child is old enough) while the kids can wear themselves out in the play area. Don't forget to check out the photo ops with Harry Potter and the old man on the bench as you head into the Lego Store to exit. You can literally spend hours here and you will still probably have to bribe your kids to leave!!
