I booked a package stay at the Legoland Hotel which came with 2 days park admission. I have two children, ages 4 and 6. Let's start with the positives: the park is very, very cute. There are Lego figures everywhere and tons of photo opportunities. The creatures throughout the park and buildings and cities in Miniland are impressive. The whole place is incredibly family oriented which I appreciated. We all enjoyed the rides. Make sure to do the 4D movie; it is great! Now the cons: the park is very sprawling. It is a hike to get around. Bring a stroller if you have little kids, even if they are past stroller age in regular day to day life. You won't regret it. Another con, there is very little shade. Thankfully there wasn't blazing hot sun the day we visited. The food is bad. It is cafeteria grade or worse. My burger was cold and definitely more fast food than restaurant quality. The pasta was not appetizing. The sorbet cart was great, however. The biggest con is the inadequate customer service. Calling the customer service line with questions gets you nowhere. When I finally managed to speak to a real person, the young woman did not know the answers to my questions. I am most upset that I paid over $1300 for a 1 night package at the Legoland Hotel, which is insanely expensive, and I was NEVER notified prior to my arrival that the "resort style" pool mentioned on the website was closed. I told management that this is simply unacceptable not to notify customers that amenities are unavailable when they are paying that kind of price. It is not in any way a luxury resort. Any mention of the pool has since been removed from the website. I was offered a refund on the stay (which I have yet to receive 4 days later) so I ended up taking my family home rather than staying in the hotel, but this was disappointing to the kids. I will probably take my kids back to Legoland next year, but we will not be booking a stay at the hotel. I agree with someone else who wrote that Legoland is charging Disney prices for MUCH less of an experience. The park has more than Sesame Place, for example, but far less than a Disney theme park and it is nearly as expensive. The hotel prices are especially outrageous. My final tip is to arrive early. We were able to walk onto several of the rides without a wait when the park first opened.

A real great addition to the NYC area. For lego families worth multiple visits a year. It is so exciting to see a new theme park with new rides. It's been a long long time in the tri-state area. Rides great for our 7 year old, but needs some help with our 3 year old. More playgrounds and interactive sets like the one in ninjago land would go a long way for kids. Also would love a fast pass option. Know they are working on it. They should have a lotto for a random family to have it as well so a magical day like that is not just for the very rich. Great start lego!

We were upset the adventure ride wasn’t working today. There was a long line for anchors ahoy, but i was happy everyone at the park was happy.
