My husband and I went to Legoland NY on Saturday, July 24th and had a wonderful time. We will definitely be going back again, within a few weeks from now. We came from Long Island, NY and the travel time to get there was 2 hrs and 45 minutes with traffic. Be prepared for about a half an hour wait to get into the park, between security and the ticket check. Parking is cheaper if you pay in advance online for $20, vs. $27 in person. Be aware that everything in the park is cashless. Once you are in the park, everything in the park is spread out and there is a lot of walking and long lines. But what amusement park doesn't have long lines. You cannot expect to go through this park quickly, it just will not happen. You will need to plan to have more than one day at the park. There are plenty of hotels in the local area and the Legoland hotel, which looks real cute will be opening August 6th, 2021. There are other things to do nearby such as the Museum Village of Monroe and Castle Fun Center. You can make this area into a mini vacation. When you enter the park be sure to look for the sign with the various times of shows throughout the day. The sign is easy to miss and these times weren't posted any place else. The app was somewhat helpful, but not 100% accurate. The wait times for the rides we went on varied from 15 minutes to 1 hour. The weekdays may be less busy from other reviews I have seen. We went on a Saturday. Throughout the park there are refill stations for water or you can purchase a refillable cup for soda, This probably is the best deal. There are three indoor restaurants with A/C if you want to cool off they are Smokey's Brick BBQ, Brickolini's Pizza and Pasta Buffet or Brickbeard's Food Market. Other things you can do to cool off at Legoland NY are the 4D movie, which runs every hour on the hour there are great special effects and you will get wet. You can go onto Splash Battle Ride which is a real soaker. You will get wet from head to toe on this ride. There is a show for kids that if you sit in the front row you will get wet, also. My husband and I spent 8 hours in the park, without stopping to eat and were able to go on the Ninjago ride, which had a 40 minute wait, the Coast Guard Academy Boat ride , which had an hour wait, the Fire Academy Ride, which had a 40 minute wait time, the 4D movie, had a 20 minute wait and Splash Battle Ride, which was a 45 minute wait the first time and 15 minutes the 2nd time towards the end of the day. Miniland is a much larger section than I ever imagined. It took us about 45 minutes to see everything in this section and take pictures. The detail in this section was so amazing. I loved the rafters going down the river, so cute and the Vegas Section, with the wedding chapel. Throughout this section there are buttons and things you can step on to make the people move or create sound. Mostly everything was working in this section, you just have to pay attention and not rush through this section to see things are working. There was a small amount in Miniland that looked like they were still working on, but most everything is completed and working in that section. Definitely worth seeing this section, but you need to allow time to go through it. All in all my husband and I had a blast and thought this place was awesome. I think it depends on what you like. If you are a person that likes thrill rides, this may not be the place for you. The two coaster rides, which were open are the only thrill rides there. This is a very family oriented type of place, but can be very enjoyable for adults that love calm kind of rides. To me it was very enjoyable and I will definitely be going there year after year. I think next year we might be getting the annual pass to visit Legoland in Goshen and their New Aquarium in New Jersey called SeaLife. that was a great aquarium. Please note that you can get discounted passes for Legoland NY through AAA and Sam's Club if you want to try to save some money. Hope this review helps. It was a fun time!

Went to Legoland NY on 7/26 and was quickly disappointed. As soon as you walk in the carousel ride was not operational and the entire mini land and lego pirates section was not opened for several hours. The next ride we attempted to use was the DJ’s Dizzy Disco spin. We boarded the cars but the ride did not move. We were told to leave the cars as the ride was out of order. It eventually became operational about 60 minutes later. As we walked around several food carts were closed including the LIl Smokey’s and the Grill Station. Also the Ninja Kitchen closed early as well as others. For what you pay for the tickets you would expect more rides and attractions for visitors and better food concessions. And plenty of walking up and down hilly terrain to get from one place to another. Very disappointing experience for my family especially my two grandchildren. Will probably not return.

The park was great fun and perfect for our son who just turned 9. The rides were all excellent. The only downside was the rice bowls. The stand ran out of tofu then the veggies. After waiting in a long line, I had to wait another 10 minutes for a new batch of veggies. The rice bowls had no flavor and the chicken was awful. The BBQ looked so much better. Aside from the food experience, everything else was awesome!
