Highly recommend taking a sailing tour of the York River with Captain Bill O'Donovan! I purchased the couples cruise for my Fiancé and myself as his Christmas gift. Captain Bill was awesome to work with from the very start he sent a beautiful certificate to print out for the gift with all the details and beautiful pictures to include. He is super easy to work with and is very professional and friendly. We were thrilled with our experience. The sail boat was beautiful and kept up very well. It was super clean and he went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable during the whole trip. We packed a picnic lunch at about our halfway point we were able to go to the bow of the boat where there was a comfortable spot set up to relax and eat our lunch. Captain Bill was awesome he shared a lot of really interesting information with us about the area and different landmarks. He taught us about the boat and sailing. He even let me take the wheel for part of the trip while we sailed. It was a awesome experience I can't wait to go back and enjoy the wind and water and beautiful views again soon! Thank you Captain Bill for our wonderful experience. You really went out of your way to make this a memorable adventure for us.

On March 30, 2021, my wife , sister-in-law, brother-in-law, and I celebrated our respective wedding anniversaries by sailing the York River with CAPT Bill. What a wonderful few hours on the water. My wife, sister, and brother-in-law had never gone sailing. My last sailing excursion was in 1987 on Kaneohe Bay in Hawaii. I thought that I would surprise my wife of 42 years with something different . Boy was she surprised! It was a very breezy day so there was plenty of wind for the sails. CAPT Bill's many years of experience was quite apparent by the way he handled the sailboat. He expertly narrated many of the sights that were visible. The real bonus was seeing a U.S.Navy submarine berthed at the Yorktown Naval Station. It was a little chilly but we were dressed appropriately. If sailing does not relieve your stress or lower your blood pressure, there is no hope for you. If you want a few hours of respite from the constant shrill of bad and depressing news from television and the internet, I highly recommend sailing on Williamsburg Charter Sails. You will not be disappointed! Bruce E. Fuller, M.D.
