What To Expect

The Roaming Table

Our expert tour guides will navigate your through the historic Village of Lewiston. On our three hour tour we will learn about the rich history of this quintessential small town. You will learn about Lewiston’s role on the Underground Railroad, the War of 1812 and even its ties to the Mafia! Lewiston is also known for its amazing restaurants. There are over 30 restaurants in a half mile radius! We will stop at “mom and pop” shops, waterfront eateries, chef owned restaurants, bustling coffee shops and much more. At each stop we will sample generous portions of food (along with drink pairings at 2 stops), enough for a filling lunch!

A lovely afternoon in Lewiston with Rita from The Roaming Table’s food tour. She has a passion for Lewiston and you will too after taking the tour. The tour was well paced with an interesting variety of yummy food and lots of history about the Underground Railroad and War of 1812. We liked that they explained the origin of the food and different community events. Definitely worth a return visit. This is one of the best food tours that we had done.

I had a wonderful afternoon when I attended the Roaming Table's food and history tour. Even though I have lived in Lewiston for 30 years, I learned many interesting facts about my village and I sampled culinary delights that I might not have tried tasting. Our tour guide, Rita, was wonderful! She readily accomodated each of us and it is obvious that this is not a job for her....she loves her town and wants everyone else to as well. It was just the right amount of walking and eating. I highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting or living in Lewiston!

Recently took one of their tours in beautiful Lewiston, NY. I really enjoyed that it was more than just food. There was a walking historic tour of the village. Rita, our guide was excellent! The amount of time of the tour was good. Our tastings were a nice portion not overwhelming and not too skimpy. I would highly recommend this tour.
