Iām a local and had been interested in taking this tour because their social media makes it look so fun and shows off our beautiful part of the state. WOW!! Boy, was I in for a treat! Captain Paul was super engaging and informative and even *I* learned things about our area that I didnāt know before! Deckhand David was so great and pretty much the nicest guy ever. (Also makes great hot chocolate and salmon dip, of which they even share their recipe!)
We saw a ton of eagles, both in their nests and on trees, watching the water. There was even an eagle perched on top of the Guard Island lighthouse! We didnāt see any whales but did see a bunch of jumping salmon. A float plane took off near the boat, which was pretty cool.
The boat was clean, comfortable, and there were more than enough pairs of binoculars for everyone. We were greeted upon arrival by Debbie, who was incredibly friendly and took pictures of us with their eagle mascot.
āØAll in all, this is one of the best tours Iāve done in Ketchikan! If you can only do one tour, DO THIS ONE!! The combination of great boat + wildlife + nature + great people = A WINNING COMBINATION!!
