I did the Mount Vernon tour several years ago. I enjoyed it so much that I was eager to come back for the Little Italy / Jonestown tour. It did not disappoint. My whole family (husband and two teens) really enjoyed it. We ate at a Jewish deli and three Italian restaurants. The food was delicious, and our tour guide Mary Margaret was very friendly, interesting, and knowledgeable about the history of the neighborhood and the city. Looking forward to coming back for the Fells Point tour.

Our food was literally a small plate of plain, non-home made spaghetti noodles tossed in olive oil, a piece of bread, tiny plain arugula salad at the first restaurant, followed by one small piece of very mediocre pizza at the 2nd place, and a single cannoli handed out on a street corner at the end of the tour. I make better italian food for my children, and I am not even Italian. Some (but not all!) people had a bit of parmesan on their noodles, and a few chips of walnut or raw cauliflower on their salad. It could not have been more than $1.50's worth of food for the ticket price of $65. The Tour guides were interesting enough, and the neighborhood is worth seeing but you can do it easily on your own. The food was a total rip off. We were a big group attending a large conference, but any food tour company should know how to plan for that.

I invited my Pittsburgh cousins for a taste of Baltimore! We had a fabulous time!!! Not only was all the food awesome (well maybe not the coddies…) but everything else was fabulous! Our guide Molly couldn't have been better as she told stories and provided insight not only on the food but also the neighborhood, traditions, and people of the area! Made me so proud! Can't wait to go back to many of the restaurants for a full meal and to experience some of the other food tours!
