Llama/Alpaca Hike and Farm Tour

Overview
Your visit will begin with a brief tour of our farm and introductions to some of our smaller friends (i.e pygora goats, sheep and overly friendly barn cats ) with a short story of our 1850 homestead located in The Historic Hudson Valley on 25 bucolic acres . Followed by Llama/Alpaca 101 and why these soft and fluffy critters are the new Unicorn of animals. We will cover basic safety rules and answer any questions before we begin our trek.

We will guide your Llama/Alpaca trek through gentle pastures, paddocks, past a stocked Bass pond and encourage Llama/Alpaca Selfies along the way.

You will experience a walking and working Fiber Farm tour amongst our 25 bucolic pastured acres. Our hope is that this tour will allow you to reconnect with a quieter side of life, one that allows for relaxation, warm and welcoming animal encounters and a country stroll through our pastures allowing a reconnection to nature.

A perfect afternoon learning all about Llamas and Alpacas with Andrea. My family and I enjoyed every minute of our time touring the farm and hiking with our animals. Each llama and Alpaca had their own unique personality and brought smiles to all our faces. A great socially distanced and super safe family activity. We will surely be back!

With so few options for entertainment during the pandemic, I highly recommend giving this place a visit. We booked a llama walk for two and had the pleasure of being the only ones there (it was mid-week on a very chilly day). It was awesome! Andrea was a very pleasant hostess and I learned a lot during our walk. I was also completely unprepared for how much I would adore and geek out over the animals! This is a great way to spend some time outside and safely socially distance. The farm store is really cool too.

I heard about this place from an old friend on Instagram and immediately had to book my own tickets! This is the perfect weekend activity for an animal and nature lover or anyone looking for something fun and different. The people are great and knowledgeable and you can tell they truly love and take great care of their animals. Given how insane 2020 has been this felt like a couple hours of llama therapy in the open air. It is as a refreshing, fun, and happy experience! Really hope to go again someday and bring everyone I know! I got the honor of walking the leader, Biscotti the kissing llama and he really lives up to his name, so affectionate! And my husband walked Remy the cutest alpaca! 10/10 - five stars - two thumbs up!
