Llama/Alpaca Hike and Farm Tour

Overview
Your visit will begin with a brief tour of our farm and introductions to some of our smaller friends (i.e pygora goats, sheep and overly friendly barn cats ) with a short story of our 1850 homestead located in The Historic Hudson Valley on 25 bucolic acres . Followed by Llama/Alpaca 101 and why these soft and fluffy critters are the new Unicorn of animals. We will cover basic safety rules and answer any questions before we begin our trek.

We will guide your Llama/Alpaca trek through gentle pastures, paddocks, past a stocked Bass pond and encourage Llama/Alpaca Selfies along the way.

You will experience a walking and working Fiber Farm tour amongst our 25 bucolic pastured acres. Our hope is that this tour will allow you to reconnect with a quieter side of life, one that allows for relaxation, warm and welcoming animal encounters and a country stroll through our pastures allowing a reconnection to nature.

Not only were we able to see the llamas and alpacaā€™s but Andrea introduced us to other farm animals as well. Hike was amazing and you get to walk with your own llama/alpaca. They also have a nice shop where you can buy homemade products made my the farm!

Wonderful experience for animal lovers! I was greeted by 2 beautiful, healthy and friendly cats and could see the llamas and alpacas on the other side of the gate from the parking area. This farm is beautifully kept and the animals are very well taken care of. Our hostess Andrea was very nice and obviously loves the animals. We saw the sheep, goats, cows and of course the alpacas and llamas. There are also chickens. We took a nice walk each with our own animal. I have been to other alpaca farms and these by far were the friendliest animals. We also loved the farm store, bought some soap and beautiful ornaments.

The Alpaca hike and farm tour was wonderful. My wife and I visited the farm on Friday and had an absolutely wonderful time. Andrea, the owner was very personal and very enjoyable to experience this fun day with. We got to meet some of the goats, Llamas, Alpacas and learned a little about running a farm. The best part of our day was hiking with the Llamas and Alpacas. My wife and I were lucky enough to be the first two in the group of seven and lead the hike. I had Percy the Llama and my wife had Remy, a really cute white Alpaca. It was lots of fun to see my wife with a wide smile for the entire walk with her Alpaca. The hike was approximately a mile but not difficult. We are in our mid 60ā€™s and it was a piece of cake. A fun day, to share and enjoy with some very gentle animals.
