Overview

Enjoy a 1-hour harbor eco-tour aboard a glass bottom boat in Long Beach. Explore nature and marine life above and underneath the water. You will be taken to the break wall which is approximately 2 1/2 miles from shore, to explore the shallow water habitat near the wall. Then, you will be taken in search of sea lions, seals and much more. Exploring nature is always full of surprises! All along the way you will learn about local landmarks like the Port of Long Beach, Oil Islands, and their impact on the local ecosystem.
There is no fish viewing while en route.

Absolutely horrible experience. Captain Nilda was not only unaccommodating, but she was also very rude and disrespectful to our entire ash-scattering memorial service. This was supposed to be a special service to commemorate our loved one- our last good bye to her, but these horrible people took that away from us. We were devastated that the captain just drove off, after a mere few minutes time at the destination. On top of being unaccommodating, she was also disrespectful during our prayer time- interrupting the prayer with an announcement. The captain claimed that she communicated the time to us, but never explained or clarified any of the details, our family was left not knowing when to do things and eventually missing our last goodbye as they scattered the ashes and drove off within a few minutes time. I would never do any type of memorial service or business with these people ever again. They do not care about our families and definitely will not care about yours, they only care about the money. For an hour’s service, 50+ minutes were spent getting to the destination, which leaves only a few minutes to do anything else. This service was a scam and not worth the money at all. Please do not waste your money with them, as they definitely are unprofessional and have no regard for the dead.

We were lucky enough to spot a baby gray whale. The fish were fun to see and the boat ride was nice! The boat is small and enclosed. It was warmer in the front of the boat due to the windows. If you want to look out you will need to stand.

Harbor cruises in the area are half the price and personally, more enjoyable. The glass bottom was fun, but the boat only stopped one time right next to a wall, so if you expect to see a variety of fish in multiple places then you'll be disappointed. 90% of the experience is just going to and from the wall where the boat stopped for about 15 minutes. Again, the ride itself is great. It's beautiful. But for half the price you can get on a larger boat and stand on a deck to enjoy the fresh breeze without the fish and it's more fun. Also, there was a child screaming loudly for the majority of the hour. Many guests were visibly upset. Since it is a small boat there is nowhere to walk to escape the noise like with a larger boat (of which there are adult-only options!) It definitely soured the experience. Overall, nice boat ride, disappointing glass bottom, way too expensive for the quality of the experience. Go with a harbor tour cruise instead.
