Rey, our tour leader was wonderful. He was knowledgeable, personable and added to the experience of the fantastic food that we tasted. Having lived in the area in the 1970's, it was interesting to hear how it has developed and changed. Rey knew it all. And he took us to places that we would not have found without his expert guidance. We highly recommend this tour as a great way to experience an interesting aspect of the LA area. Will be keeping a lookout for other Secret Food Tours as the company in onto a great idea.

My friends invited me to come on a food tour with them so I decided to try it out. Being from Los Angeles originally, I was curious to see if there would be any gems out there that I had missed, but lo and behold there was! Our tour guide John Vogel took us on an incredibly delicious and at the same time very diverse food tour. I loved the wide array of foods that we sampled as well as the quality of each dish that we tried. I had never heard of this company before, but now I'm really excited to try more of their tours. Another aspect that I thoroughly enjoyed was all of the historical background that John gave us of the city. We went through Union Station, Olvera Street, and China town in a single tour and with each destination he had very interesting facts to share with us. Bottom line: This tour is well worth the money even if you are a local! And be sure to come hungry!!!
