Lovers Key Guided Eco Tour-Mangrove Estuary

Overview
This is a 2 hour and 15 minute tour with Lovers Key Adventures master naturalist guide, Stephen, who expertly guides our guests through the mangrove canopied estuary explaining the importance of the southwest Florida eco-system -the history of the area- from the Calusa Indians, Conquistadors, and Ponce De Leon..on. He finds wildlife and introduces our guests to the various birds, vegetation, dolphins, and manatee (if they’re around that day;) This is one of the unique experiences available in southwest Florida. No tour is ever the same there is no script and many guests return year after year to enjoy Stephen's expertise and the beauty of Lovers Key
Our guests also often take advantage of the beaches and hiking trails offered inside the state park. There are many photo opportunities available to capture the memories of this incredible experience within the natural surroundings of the untouched Florida landscape.

We loved our guided tour by Stephen, he was friendly, informative and very reassuring when we saw a gator! We weren’t expecting to see a gator but when we did Stephen was very reassuring and it was actually great fun, (the gators aren’t the slightest bit interested in you). We also saw a couple of manatees and some fish and birds and he picked out a starfish from the mangroves (he has eyes like a hawk)! He is so knowledgeable and we found it very interesting. We would definitely do the tour again and would recommend. All in all a great tour with a great guy. Thanks Stephen!

Fun kayaking adventure in Fort Meyers Beach area and a change of scenery from the beach. The eco system is more river/mangrove. We saw tons of birds, jumping fish and an alligator. Manatee can be seen on the right days too. Well delineated kayak path. We went without a guide and the whole trip was about 3 hours. Bring plenty of water. We also went to the beach in the state park after which was great. Nice white sand and lots of shells.

We did the tour 3rd November 2019 - great experience, Stephen has a wealth of interesting information about the fauna and wildlife in the park. We got to see dolphins and manatees up close.
