What To Expect

Lower Antelope Canyon

Our first stop is the Lower Antelope Canyon. – Lower Antelope Canyon is a MODERATE tour for guest. You will hike 1.1 miles from start to finish (1770.27 meters). Upon entering the Canyon, you will descend 74 steps to the bottom of the Canyon. once at the bottom you will hike at a gradual incline towards the exit along with ladders and small stairs into each chamber of the Canyon. You may google LOWER ANTELOPE STAIRS & LADDERS, and you will have a visual of the steps and ladders (5 ladders & 2 small stairs toward the exit). Big Lake Trading Post

After the Lower Antelope Canyon we will stop at a picnic area where you may use the restroom. Additional food and drinks may be purchased at this location.

Horseshoe Bend

The second portion of the tour will be at the Horseshoe Bend Overlook. The Horseshoe Bend is all flat smooth surfaced path. You will hike less than a half mile to the picturesque Overlook (1.5 miles/1770meters roundtrip).

Our tour was greatly enhanced by using Dineh Tour Co. Having a Navajo man as our guide gave us so much more insight to the history & geography of the area. We highly recommend them.

My Lower Antelope Cyn Tour was ABORTED by me Right at the Start as it involved a 1.5 Mile Hike w/ Several Ladders Up & Down, while I had a Very Bad Knee & could NOT WALK even a 1/4 Mile !! The Tour Operator Dineh Tours was Kind Enough to give a 75% Refund of My Ticket. For F/U : NOWHERE on the Ticket Booking Website, Viator, did they State that it involves a 1.5 Mile Hike w/ Several Ladders up & down !!!

Thank you for the review. On the Viator site it does state that, "Travelers should have a moderate physical fitness level". We will make the amount of walking more visible on our site.

We had an amazing tour with Tilford from Dineh Tours! Tilford made special accommodations for us given that our plane was late! This tour is a must for your bucket list, the sand formations are breathtaking and our guides were so helpful making sure we took the special photo shots and the best camera settings so our photos were spectacular! Also, February is a great time to visit to beat the heat!
