What To Expect

Lower Antelope Canyon

Located a few miles from Upper Antelope, Lower Antelope Canyon, known as "spiral rock arches" by the Navajo, is great for those looking for a little hike and a photographer's dream. The lower canyon is in the shape of a "V" and shallower than the Upper Antelope. Lighting is better in the early hours and late morning. Please note: you must arrive no later than 1 hour prior to selected time.

We had Stacy as our tour guide and she was great! Highly recommend going, especially early in the morning. Our tour was at 7 am and it was perfect in the canyon. Definitely going back

It was so hard to drive11 hours from Denver, only to wake up super early the next morning. But it was SO WORTH IT!!!! I had read online that Upper Antelope Canyon was the place to go; but our experience in Lower Antelope Canyon was so spectacular that I can’t imagine anything could’ve been better. The tour company (in particular, our guide, Ian) is professional and friendly. The tour groups are small – only six people in ours! – and they take lots of time to point out both geological information and imaginative images that seem to appear in the rocks. This was a once in a lifetime experience, and I suggest you DO ANYTHING to make space for it.

The place is worth seeing, but there’s one minus the guider would not allow us to take one picture without our masks. There was only six people in our group and it was out in the open. But when we had to use the railing on the staircase that everyone was touching no one said anything about disinfecting. 😤
