Many visitors prefer the Lower Antelope Canyon to the Upper because it is less crowded, has light throughout, is longer, and offers great variety. What To Expect

Lower Antelope Canyon

Tour Departure Point: Lower Antelope Canyon Indn Route 222 Page, AZ, 86040 Antelope Canyon Tours departs every 1/2 hour a quarter after and a quarter till the hour, the tour is a 1.5 hours waling tour and climbing down some ladders is involved. Please wear comfortable shoes for this 600 meter trip. Lower Antelope Canyon Tours has smaller group sizes and the guide stays with you during the entire tour, sharing information about the geology, history, and Navajo Traditional ways. The Lower Antelope Canyon tends to be less crowded than the Upper Antelope Canyon and is preferred by many because of its narrow canyon walls and ladders that take you to the levels that have been carved by flash floods from the upper mesas. The sandstone walls are exquisitely formed, and the Lower Antelope Canyon offers a longer canyon exploration.

We had the best experience doing the Lower Antelope Canyon tour. The guide was extremely knowledgeable, helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed her. We had done the Upper Antelope tour with another company the day before and have to say that this was way more interesting! The lower canyon doesn't have the light beam that everyone photographs but it is much longer and you actually feel like you're hiking through a crevasse as opposed to strolling through a cave. Would highly recommend!

The Deluxe option was an Excellent choice. 1 guide for my wife & I (1-4 people/guide) who kept us away from the crowds, showed us how to use the Pro features of our phone cameras to take best advantage of lighting, colors & dimensions of the canyon. Took great photos of us & canyon and explained features & local history. Tevin is a young, charming & knowledgeable guide. One exceptional hour spent on our N.P. & Canyon hiking tour!

to many people on a small space. Not able to enjoy the canyon. Tourguide told us the whole time to hurry for another group. Not fun at all. Would not recommend this tour.
