What To Expect

Lower Antelope Canyon

Tour Departure Point: Lower Antelope Canyon Indn Route 222 Page, AZ, 86040 Antelope Canyon Tours departs every 1/2 hour a quarter after and a quarter till the hour, the tour is a 1.5 hours waling tour and climbing down some ladders is involved. Please wear comfortable shoes for this 600 meter trip. Lower Antelope Canyon Tours has smaller group sizes and the guide stays with you during the entire tour, sharing information about the geology, history, and Navajo Traditional ways. The Lower Antelope Canyon tends to be less crowded than the Upper Antelope Canyon and is preferred by many because of its narrow canyon walls and ladders that take you to the levels that have been carved by flash floods from the upper mesas. The sandstone walls are exquisitely formed, and the Lower Antelope Canyon offers a longer canyon exploration.

Well worth the money to experience this narrow slot canyon. Groups of 10 go into canyon with guide many Chinese that are polite and having a good time. Guides speaks English so stay close to guide to get individualized tour. Chinese are all taking thousand of pictures so guides gets them through. Stay with guide who will take pictures with your camera for you at specific sites. They all do this. The lower canyon is narrow with many ladders to climb. Not for the claustrophobic or any one who uses a cane and has difficulty descending a ladder. Incredible photo experiences with any type of phone or camera. Much different then the famous upper canyon and more indicative of a real slot canyon.

Our tour through Lower Antelope Canyon was the most unique and beautiful tours we've ever taken. The whole experience was wonderful and special. Our guide, Bernard, was informative, interesting, personable and made the tour even more memorable. We highly recommend!!!

Beautiful canyon that you can take awesome pictures with cell phone. I think visiting anytime of the day will give you nice pictures.
